I am not good at puzzles but here is one of the reasons I like them: if you have a puzzle out in a communal space, everyone will stop for a little while to work on it, even teenagers

I didn’t get a chance to workout yesterday so surprised to see that my step count was this high… and then I realized that I got over 3000 steps while I was doing my kids’ hair. It shouldn’t “count” as steps but, dang, 4 hours of detangling, twisting, and braiding is not nothing, I guess

My son is 16 now, taller than me, and very fit from many hours a week on the soccer pitch. I love the person he is now SO much, but sometimes I miss the days when he was just round and smiley. He was such a cute baby.
