i had a somewhat painful period after using bsky for about a year where i realized that a lot of the users here are in it for the bit and/or have posting/reposting patterns that seem excessive if you're on for long periods that intersect with their posting bc they want visibility.

i think she used to post a lot more personal stuff a long time ago, i eventually muted because my feed became 70% her posts and reposts. i have a very low bar for filtering out bots that she passes; i've always read her as using questions as engagement bait. i don't like bsky bc it rewards bits.

this was actually incredibly frustrating because i had just looked at marriott for a booking not that long ago and had a very different experience. now every interaction sends me to an online event form that no one contacts me about after i fill it out.

marriott's making it basically impossible to book a small group for a business meeting and from the general chaos and booking flow i'm guessing they introduced a new and terrible ai system. i've been working on booking this block for weeks.

i know exactly 1 person in new orleans with a basement. everyone marveled over it, no one would have sheltered there. he lived on the edge of the city. i lived next to a cemetery for a few years; when it rained we could hear coffins bump against the concrete slabs they put over ground burials.

adfition. :D i'm glad i signed up for a 6 hr. simchat torah event that's a slog to get to *and* a service that's a short drive from my house because traveling to wicker park to run one errand has eaten the majority of my spoons and rewinding the torah is hard work.
