Until someone with an LLM rewrites it and claims that the new version is MIT. We need stronger licensing NOW

Still have to publish with LaTeX? Just use Typst with ttt! Listen in on how @thezoq2.bsky.social plugged into the Typst compiler to create only slightly dubious LaTeX code (it got accepted by the journals!). www.youtube.com/watch?v=8nH8...

People only dislike IFD because it’s done badly in CppNix Snix/Tvix have much better support for IFD (at a cost of not separating eval and realization)

Hopefully the PR isn’t accepted without a plan on how to make it so that the vendored wasm blobs aren’t just random binary blobs but that realistically means having a wasm only bootstrap chain to get wasm-based compilers which can be treated differently when it comes to IFD

As long as LLMs are as expensive to train and run as they are now, never. And I sure hope it stays that way or even becomes more expensive as the VC money runs out

I don't see the value in running an LLM on a project and posing it as "yours". This is unethical at the very least

After a bit of a struggle I managed to make it work and even fetch all my hackage deps from nix caches when using a devshell do now I don't need to build any of them, just my app

I wonder if the swift regex algorithm is just bad and porting rust's regex as a package is worth the time investment

Could someone with inside GHC knowledge explain how GHC 9.10 is different from GHC 9.8 and GHC 9.12 that apply-refact (which hlint depends on) never added support for it? #Haskell

An hour's a lot. Thankfully, Nix fixes this and you can either have it in 5 minutes or spend the rest of the day optimizing the build times and ergonomics

Isn't it fun how all of the comments on that issue will get their authors nuked from the community spaces of an even slightly regulated project? That alone is an argument supporting a COC
