i'm a fan of Donut Media during the James Pumphrey era so seeing him being personally asked by the Ford Motor Company do a racing heritage podcast worries me. i know they'll check the script before recording but... it's FORD. how long before he says the n-word? (the n-word being 'nazi')

Even as a person floating in ACG spaces it’s my first time seeing the whole body of the Syd Mead Turn-A Gundam, so I’m surprised this fucking thing is being piloted from the head of its penis peeking out of its pants.

Ok let me talk about the album for a bit: Sugar Babe is the 5pc band featuring Showa music icons Tatsuro Yamashita and Taeko Ohnuki. This is obviously the Tats we know and love from the hits such as Ride On Time and Jody but I’m surprised by Taeko who AFAIK started with this band before going solo.

Booted the Sony Blu-Ray Player I dug up from the dumpster months ago and learned it had a fucking XrossMediaBar. Using it with an optical link to my sound bar to play the Sugar Babe album I bought from my record man.

there are two films called "runner" this year: "The Runner" starring Wonder Woman and "Runner" starring Lightning McQueen. if you're on Kodi, Plex, or Jellyfin you should check on your libraries just in case it confuses one for the other or decide to merge the two into one.

I just remembered there was a trailer for Disney’s Hexed in the pre-roll. Based on how it looked there will be no Filipinoness in that one unless it’s a mere passing reference. Maybe if the main character’s last name is Manbavaran or something.

Some thing I noticed about the Forgotten Island screening here in Hong Kong: most of the Tagalog dialogue didn't get Cantonese subtitles. I suppose whoever is doing the translation only expected the film to be in English so they didn't bother hiring a Filipino for the job.

It’s half-price at the cinemas today because of the PRC Establishment Holiday so I went to the cinema near my house to get a wicked cheap ticket for the day’s first screening of Forgotten Island. Battery’s about to run out, so I’ll write my thoughts about the film as a thread once I get home.

Night. The House of Chimes - a tower which you might immediately think of as Big Ben - is adrift in the River Thames. It still seems to be keeping time. In the background, a large, alien building looms over the city of London.

a complete set of F-Toys’ Rockmono Drums came in two boxes, each one is labeled either A or B. for a solid hour between buying the B box and reaching the house I thought “wouldn’t it be wack if I also bought the B box last time?” thankfully I’ve made wise decisions. here’s Chuchu banging the tunes.

Two boxes of F-Toys' Rockmono Drums plastic models. Each box depicts a black drumkit on the cover. The box top is either labeled A or B for the convenience of the buyer. Above the boxes is the contents of the scale model drum kit encased in protective plastic covering.

Back of the box held by left hand showing different drumkit combinations ranging from candy red, deep black, poppy yellow, clear, and clear lime green. The upper left of the box depicts what the A and B sets contain: the A set contains drumsticks, a seat, a pair of tomtoms, a floor tom, and a pair of crash cymbals; the B set contains a snare, a bass drum with a pedal, a ride cymbal, and hi-hat cymbals.

Figure-Rise Standard figure of Chuatury Panlunch from "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury" depicted playing on a candy red drum kit with an adjustable wrench. The drum kit is placed on a makeshift red checkerboard paper mat.

Just finished The Sheep Detectives. It’s a quaint little whodunit, with messages on loss and herd mentality. It got me curious about a) how they animated the sheep to be so photorealistic; and b) why the town has so many neon signs, making it so tacky and unfitting, yet characterful.

factory installation work finally finished today. this industrial park is so bleak and the canteen food is so bland i feel the life drained from my inner being. my joy has been reduced to this bottle of Robin Fanta.
