ChaO just arrived on blu-ray! Any weebs who’ve missed out on this weird little spectacular movie, I can’t recommend it enough. It’s a great follow-up to Sayonara Lara too, if you’re fishing for a Little Mermaid tail with a happy ending!

I do think Sayonara Lara works even better as a transgender allegory—much like the original Little Mermaid itself, which was not-so-subtly about being so gay that you would give up everything for a few days of normal happiness before leaving the cruel world forever. Also: Leo. That’s a t-girl bby.

I went to the Round One in Burbank for the first time in a couple years and NOW THEY HAVE MY BELOVED TAIKO NO TATSUJIN?! I’m so happy, I’ve never gotten to play it without waiting in line at a stupid convention before. \ ;U; / Now I can just come to the Burbank mall when I need to hit things.

Photos from the 15th anniversary Danganronpa panel. They were very apologetic about D2: 2x2 not coming out until next year, but apparently the new game plus “what if” scenario is even longer than the canon route and is labeled Slayhem Mode, so I hope it goes crrrrrrrazy!

Checked out the premiere of Abel Gongora’s new anime adaptation of Jaadugar, about a young Muslim “witch” escaping the invasion of Genghis Khan. Really incredible work, Science Saru remains GOATed. I’ll definitely be watching the rest of this season along with the gay mermaid show “Goodbye, Lara”!

They’ve been looping the same 90-second clip before this Chainsaw Man stage show panel for the past half hour, so the crowd has turned it into a bit. There’s a 2 second pause before it loops where ppl pretend to be deflated then cheer madly when it restarts. Staying for this crowd’s sense of humor.
