My honest reaction to most of the new apps hitting the market 💀

If I had a penny for every time I joined a company and ended up inheriting a messy, insecure JavaScript codebase from the same developer, I’d have two pennies. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s really weird that it happened twice.

Rewatching Cosmos today. I first watched it 10 years ago, and I don’t think I was capable of fully appreciating just how beautiful this show is. The visuals, Alan Silvestri’s score, and the stories of all the scientists who paved the way for the world we live in today. Just amazing!

AI has made this meme significantly worse. Because now instead of spending hours automating a 5 minute task, I can spend 30 mins asking an AI to automate it and another 5 hours fixing what AI generated

A developer crawls through a desert past a sign reading “Try automating it for several hours — 25 miles,” while ignoring a nearby sign reading “Do the thing manually in 5 min.”

Spent the entire weekend working on the next beta release of @crona.work No flashy new features, just a lot of quality-of-life improvements, plenty of bug fixes, and laying the groundwork for the macOS companion app. The kind of release that makes the next few releases possible.

Building a native MacOS app for Crona in Swift. Did anyone ask for this? No. But I’ve been meaning to learn Swift for a while, and rewriting a terminal-first app as a native Mac app felt like a good excuse.

Building my own little “AWS clone” to host and manage my projects on my own infra. Planned Arch - Single manager -> multiple agent nodes - Containerised with Docker - Loadbalancer (maybe auto scaling) - Web dashboard - Support for tunnels like Ngrok I plan to open source once it’s stable

> be me > plan to work on side projects on the weekend > fever hits on Friday night > spend the weekend in bed next to the workstation > both running hot, neither productive
