Siddharth Mittal @webxsid.com · 04/10/2026If I had a penny for every time I joined a company and ended up inheriting a messy, insecure JavaScript codebase from the same developer, I’d have two pennies. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s really weird that it happened twice. 000
Reposted by Siddharth MittalCrona App @crona.work · 24/09/2026Crona v1.9.0 is now stable 🎉 Alongside it, the new native macOS companion has reached v1.0.0 — bringing your current focus, timers and controls right into the menu bar. Still local-first. Still terminal-first. Still no accounts or cloud required. crona.work github.com/webxsid/crona 011
Siddharth Mittal @webxsid.com · 24/09/2026Just discovered Pages CMS(pagescms.org) a few days ago and it’s pretty much exactly what I needed for my GitHub-based blog. I still get to keep everything as Markdown in Git, but I’m no longer tied to my dev machine whenever I want to write or edit something.pagescms.orgPages CMSManage content and media right in your GitHub repository. Siddharth Mittal @webxsid.com · 24/09/2026So Astra can apparently drive a car now. At very low speeds in a controlled cone course, but still. The interesting bit is, Astra failed the first time, retained and analysed the failure to successfully finish the course in its second try. Very cool drivingbench.com/reportdrivingbench.comReport · DrivingBenchA benchmark where frontier language models drive a real comma-equipped Toyota through a cone course, one command at a time, with a human supervisor ready to brake. 010
Siddharth Mittal @webxsid.com · 22/09/2026Rewatching Cosmos today. I first watched it 10 years ago, and I don’t think I was capable of fully appreciating just how beautiful this show is. The visuals, Alan Silvestri’s score, and the stories of all the scientists who paved the way for the world we live in today. Just amazing! 000
Siddharth Mittal @webxsid.com · 16/09/2026Side projects have a weird point where adding another feature is easier than deciding the thing you already built is ready to ship. 000
Siddharth Mittal @webxsid.com · 08/09/2026AI has made this meme significantly worse. Because now instead of spending hours automating a 5 minute task, I can spend 30 mins asking an AI to automate it and another 5 hours fixing what AI generated 000
Siddharth Mittal @webxsid.com · 06/09/2026Got the next piece of the project working today. Posting to bluesky. Anything published through Standard.site can now be picked up by the CLI and posted to Bluesky with a simple `pdg post`. Next I'll be working on integrating fediverse as a new vertical. 000
Reposted by Siddharth MittalCrona App @crona.work · 04/09/2026Crona has grown quite a bit since I made the original website, and the design was starting to feel left behind. Siddharth Mittal @webxsid.com · 31/08/2026Got the base Standard.site publication flow working today. The CLI can now scan a generated static site, publish the relevant pages to Standard.site, and inject the resulting AT URIs back into the HTML for verification. First example: exp1.projectdg.org/blog/hello-a...exp1.projectdg.orgHello AtmosphereAn all-target blog article. 010

Siddharth Mittal @webxsid.com · 30/08/2026Figuring out how to make the CLI discover all the publishable pages in a website without making it the dev's problem to configure individual pages & publish to standard site Sequoia relies on md file based discovery, but that feels too limiting. I don't see a better option right now though. 000
Siddharth Mittal @webxsid.com · 09/08/2026Spent the entire weekend working on the next beta release of @crona.work No flashy new features, just a lot of quality-of-life improvements, plenty of bug fixes, and laying the groundwork for the macOS companion app. The kind of release that makes the next few releases possible. 010
Siddharth Mittal @webxsid.com · 06/08/2026Got the first issue reported on @crona.work's GitHub. I’m not exactly thrilled that there’s a bug, but I am thrilled that someone is actually using the app enough to find one. That’s a milestone I’ll happily take. 000

Siddharth Mittal @webxsid.com · 03/08/2026So it turns out the MacOS menu bar companion for my TUI app Crona works fine on my machine running MacOS 27 dev beta but on OS 26 it’s CPU usage shoots up to a staggering 77%. I doubt it has anything to do with the OS version but that's the first difference I can see 110

Reposted by Siddharth MittalCrona App @crona.work · 01/08/2026Built myself a terminal-first, local-first work tracker because every other one eventually became another chore. Reposted by Siddharth MittalCrona App @crona.work · 15/06/2026My biggest regret with Crona so far is opting for direct curl script installation rather than a package manager. Well that is changing with the upcoming releases. The new beta already works on brew, more coming up soon. 011
Reposted by Siddharth MittalCrona App @crona.work · 09/06/2026As a developer my day starts and ends in a terminal. But every time I wanted to track my work, I had to switch into a completely different world of browsers, dashboards, and GUI-heavy productivity apps. So I built Crona, a local-first work tracker that lives in the terminal. crona.workcrona.workCrona | Local-first work tracking for developersCrona helps developers plan issues, run issue-scoped focus sessions, review Rollup and Wellbeing, and keep checkout context local from one system. 021

Siddharth Mittal @webxsid.com · 12/05/2026Any open-source devs here, how do you deal with the lack of user insight for your projects? My app, Crona (crona.work) is mostly stable now.
