A great tribute to a groundbreaking and preternaturally funny human being. His was the liberalism of my youth, and he continued to carry that torch as well throughout his too-short life. #RIPRobReiner

C'mon, outrage machine. Of all the horrible, immoral, illegal, unethical and absolutely unconscionable things this administration has done, *this* is what you're focusing on? Do better.

If Doug Ford is serious about doing more than cosplaying Captain Canada, he'll reinvest in Ontario's post-secondary system, to support the world-class research we're already conducting and to give a home to the soon-to-be displaced US-based academics. We'll see.

I so want this to be true. Whether it is or not, it reflects exactly what we need right now.
On the left is a religious figure and on the right is a young blond man. The text reads, Did you know that for 25 years Matthew Shepard had no resting place due to concerns his grave would be vandalized, and when Reverend Budde learned of this, she invited the Shepards to inter him at the Washington National Cathedral? She co-officiated the service that welcomes Matthew to his forever home and told the crowd, “20 years is not long enough for someone who is loved. Nor can 20 years heal the grief of such a loss.

My dear friend @sameervasta.bsky.social is a gifted writer & storyteller. Here, he speaks for many of us who've had similar experiences. I find, in talking to friends my age, that many of us are feeling the same way. We care less about money & responsibility& more about doing something with meaning.
