It's that time of year when the air is the perfect temperature to have the windows open, but the leaves are so crunchy that every rustle made by even the tiniest creature sounds like the step of a large beast. Time to play "Squirrel or Werewolf"? #fall #autumn #crunchyLeaves #seasonalDread

I would kill or die for Larry

A small operation in Oregon that hunts truffles with a trained dog has added an unpaid trainee. A cat named Larry accompanies the handler and the truffle dog into the woods every outing, works a patch of ground a little apart from them, and digs with tremendous confidence in places where there is nothing.
The handler says Larry has never found a truffle and shows no sign of understanding the assignment. He does not use scent the way the dog does and he does not respond when the dog makes a find.
He simply digs his own holes nearby and then inspects them. "He thinks he's on the team," the handler said. "He is emphatically not on the team."

When the selkie returned to the beach, a man was holding her sealskin. "Is this yours?" he asked. "May I borrow it?" "You want to be a seal?" "No, but when I take it off, I'll be a woman, right?" "My heart, you already are," the selkie said. "That skin is mine, but I can help you find yours."

Pretty much gave up on my #anyCubic Mono 4, bought myself an #elegoo Saturn Ultra. First print was perfect, second failed. But I had it in my garage and I think it was just too cold. So I've jury-rigged together a ventelation system.

Black contractor bags and clothes pins cover a resin 3D printer, while a dryer vent hose snakes out a window.

A small pink fan directs air into a dryer vent hose.

An Elegoo Saturn Ultra resin 3D printer sits shrouded in a contractor bag cave. A pink fan lies on the floor.

#resinPrinters, what in your opinion is the most reliable printer out there? I have an #AnyCubic Mono 4 and it stopped working after about a month. Tech support has been pretty helpful, but I think they're just grasping at straws at this point. I've asked for a refund and might just buy a new one.
