Started reading up on the issue and it's slightly weird how all of the articles portray the fact that this is obviously not he changxi's face like some sort of controversy. Like, that is obviously the case, no need for debate. I just wish it was clearer what happened.

My discomfort stems mostly from the reason behind the swap of course but it's also the way that he looks very slightly unlike himself, like a less specific version of himself. I am altogether very unhappy this happened, even though I would have loved to see him in this under different circumstances.

breaking my silence, i think the use of liquorice root in herbal tea blends is completely out of control and recklessly disregards how much of an acquired taste liquorice is. i know it stems from a misguided belief that liquorice root can be a sweetener but please.

actually i still think pumpkin curd should work marvellously as a sort of toned down, altogether yummier replacement for the yolk, but i made all sorts of mistakes and did not actually manage to create any last time, so, more experimentation needed

yes, i had never even tried to make mooncakes before. yes, i thought it would be a great idea to start by modifying the recipe and replacing the yolk with a ball of pumpkin curd (my invention). yes, i failed abysmally.

i turned a batch of brownies into a sort of mooncake shaped cake pop style situation. i'm pretty certain they would be considered an abomination in china (much to sweet; why chocolate???) but i'm pretty chuffed by the proof of concept.

it *is* a good question. i feel like even in canon the way his age influences the dynamic is quite volatile and subjectively variable. for an au, i guess, some of the aspects of his character could be translated into "precocious prodigy who's (forced into) acting older than his age"

first of all this reader does NOT know how to pronounce any of the names and it is jarring (i keep making the mistake of just buying audiobook in the blind belief that they're going to be good/fulfil the bare minimum of my expectations, but listening to a sample is a must).
