On the 7th of October 1988, the 1st episode of Gunbuster was released. The 6 Episode OVA was directed by Hideaki Anno & produced by Studio Gainax and would receive a sequel (Diebuster) in 2004. It debuted in SRW F Final (Sega Saturn) in 1998.
