Ornament making with the girls

HelicalPants @wateresque.bsky.social · 16/11/2025

Trying to make some fall themed art. They look like trash but I feel like I'm learning something. So, I guess that's a good thing.

I made this little bird guy while learning to do pixel art. I feel like he needs to be used in one of my projects.

How did you spend your PSN outage this week? I started my speedrun to get this ludicrous item. And now that's done 🗡️

I just realized how funny it is that you can use magic near Locke and he is just completely clueless about it until you get Edgar in the party who properly freaks out about it.

Reminder that this game's soundtrack had a legendary team of composers on it. The juxtaposition of Kirkhope's zaniness and Shimomua's dramatic tension makes me so happy. @grantkirkhope.bsky.social

I'mma be real with y'all, Dawntrail has one glaring problem. I'm not talking about the common complaints about characters and plot. It's whoever mixed the title screen track to play at 100,000% volume 🫨

It is done!!! LW was the last thing on my plate. This picture here of these 4 plats is many years and many tears in the making. By far, the most infuriating trophies were reaching lv 99 with both Sora and Riku in CoM (why? WHY?!?) and Mysterious Figure with Terra. I'm going to frame this.

Y'all remember Footfalls? Song still gives me goosebumps. Really the whole Endwalker OST slaps so hard

Showed my kid the ReMind data greeting photo mode thinking she'd make a cute scene with some beloved KH characters. No, she makes a flan party.

The kids: It snowed outside!! Let's go play! Me: That's awesome, but these legendary jokers aren't going to unlock themselves.

The Bull is one of the best jokers. Convince me otherwise.

After showing my kids Infinity War months ago, one of my daughters hid her infinity stones terrified someone would use her gauntlet to snap people out of existence. Well she just saw Endgame and now realizes the stones can be used for good. But it turns out she hid some of them a little too well.

Late to the party once again. I have finally plunged into this old chestnut of a series. I was intrigued, but what finally hooked me was going through a couple of these cauldron facilities and being able to override bigger kinds of machines. Definitely prioritizing cauldrons, makes the game a blast!

This goes on nearly everything I cook and my kids never complain. What is this heavensent powder?

Took me 3 playthroughs but 💯 is finally done. Now I've just got that excruciating bestiary trophy left. 😮‍💨 Looks like I have a lot more hours in via infinito ahead of me.

I must be missing something. Why does there seem to be rampant hate for this game? This looks like my vibe completely. The synthwave, Stranger Things kind of aesthetic is undeniable. What am I not seeing?

Wish they used Mikoto more often in the story

So I kind of crushed Heaven on High solo. Only up to floor 30, but that's enough for the quest clear and PotD was way less soloable. I think playing a tank class helped. However, then I got all emboldened and cocky and figured Eureka Orthos would be just as simple to solo... Yeah I got demolished.

Favorite mug. What does it mean? So many possibilities! Am I a dad of dogs that are hot? Am I myself hot and have dogs? Are my dogs hot? Or am I a dad of hot dogs? Or am I the hot dog who is also a dad!? We will never know.

There's a character type that I feel really connected to. I find myself inevitably drawn towards these inward, contemplative types. There's a loneliness to them, a humility, and a kind of quiet intensity.

In truth I have been torn for some time between the idea of a Ramza/Ivalice tattoo and this idea I love so much of a beastmaster helm. FFXI BST was THE best job class I've ever played in a FF game. I still get warm fuzzy feelings when I think back to it. Anyway, picture this without the tarutaru

3110

HelicalPants @wateresque.bsky.social · 05/12/2024

I am strongly considering my first tattoo to be something Ramza related. I love his ch. 2 and ch. 4 designs but I also don't want this giant full body pose down my arm. I want something a little more action or spritey, but I'm really struggling with how to come up with ideas.

I sit here tonight reading too much into the implications of X-2's creature capture system. Specifically the human characters you can "capture". And horrifyingly, when released they fade into pyreflies. We can't just kick these people out of the Gullwings, we gotta put them down permanently?!

Whenever you are having a hard time remember, at least you didn't gaslight an entire paramilitary organization into thinking you were a competent sniper and the people you grew up with into thinking you've never met them before. #FinalFantasy
