Ornament making with the girls

Trying to make some fall themed art. They look like trash but I feel like I'm learning something. So, I guess that's a good thing.

Learning how to use a DAW, and figuring out how to manage plugins, and virtual instrument programs, and soundfonts, and soundfont players, and when to use which of these things, and how to use them together, and how to compose anything even kind of good... is melting my brain. But I will press on.

I made this little bird guy while learning to do pixel art. I feel like he needs to be used in one of my projects.

Something I noticed from trying to get acclimated to the community and watching a bunch of devlogs, I find myself getting a little overwhelmed and discouraged. What makes me think I can do what they do?

Oh something else! I'm learning how to use Godot 😮 #GodotEngine #gamedev #indiedev

Y'all have any groups or communities where indie developers yap or share stuff? It could be discord or reddit or whatever. Just trying to fit in or get involved.

Now I have to figure out how to make devlogs 🫥 I'll have to dust off the old YouTube channel

I have a few game concepts I've started building. Which do you want to see brought to life first? 🚀 A text based adventure with semi-random event progression 🪃 A resource management dungeon looting game with time based mechanics ☄️ A puzzle solving story based game with multiple paths <See next>

Voila. Here I am. Pretending I'm cocky enough that I have a place in the crowded indie dev world. But I'm going to try! And I'm going to keep myself grounded. If success arrives, I'll scream. But success is not my goal, the journey is.

I just realized how funny it is that you can use magic near Locke and he is just completely clueless about it until you get Edgar in the party who properly freaks out about it.

Ok. I'm putting my phone down for the rest of the day. Don't let me pick it back up. I mean it, DON'T! There now I've absolved myself. If I'm on my phone again that's on y'all.

Don't tell me to have compassion for any Trump voters right now. Until a few days ago I was light handed with my posts on Facebook. I detest that platform and very rarely endure opening it, but I have a lot of distant family and friends I feel the need to remain connected to.

Reminder that this game's soundtrack had a legendary team of composers on it. The juxtaposition of Kirkhope's zaniness and Shimomua's dramatic tension makes me so happy. @grantkirkhope.bsky.social

I'mma be real with y'all, Dawntrail has one glaring problem. I'm not talking about the common complaints about characters and plot. It's whoever mixed the title screen track to play at 100,000% volume 🫨

It is done!!! LW was the last thing on my plate. This picture here of these 4 plats is many years and many tears in the making. By far, the most infuriating trophies were reaching lv 99 with both Sora and Riku in CoM (why? WHY?!?) and Mysterious Figure with Terra. I'm going to frame this.

After showing my kids Infinity War months ago, one of my daughters hid her infinity stones terrified someone would use her gauntlet to snap people out of existence. Well she just saw Endgame and now realizes the stones can be used for good. But it turns out she hid some of them a little too well.

This is why fascism ultimately fails. The constant need for an enemy eventually becomes self-defeating. Unfortunately that often takes years, with lots of collateral damage in the meantime. See the Franco regime in Spain.

Late to the party once again. I have finally plunged into this old chestnut of a series. I was intrigued, but what finally hooked me was going through a couple of these cauldron facilities and being able to override bigger kinds of machines. Definitely prioritizing cauldrons, makes the game a blast!
