Games I Completed in 2026 #17: Final Fantasy I really enjoyed this as my first Pixel Remaster. Believe it or not, this is the first 2D Final Fantasy game that I've ever finished. 😅 I won't jump into another immediately, but I intend to work my way through 1-6.

I've been playing Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin on-and-off this summer. It's a good game, and I think I'm ready to put it down. The rice farming is really in-depth. I like the farming aspect, but I dislike how it is so tied to my character stats. I love the platforming sections. They're very fun.

Late night thought: I realized that I've been sharing a lot of Zelda posts lately but not actually talking about what I'm playing. For tonight, I'll just mention 1...Final Fantasy 1. 😆🎉 I've never finished this game. I've owned it for NES for decades. I'm playing the pixel remaster and loving it!

Whenever I see "this game is UNPLAYABLE NOW" I roll my eyes so damn hard. OK. What changed? The games didn't. They're the exact same games we played as kids. If you wanna argue a game was always jank? Sure. But the games are playable, you just don't have the patience or interest. Just say that.

Games I Completed in 2026 #17: The Plucky Squire This is a really cute game. It's a very simple top-down adventure that's all about the storybook presentation. Neat concepts and awesome character animations. This is a good one.

I'm a massive fan of Retail World of Warcraft. I was not expecting to care about Classic+ at all, but it looks like World of Warcraft: Forever might actually hit my pretty high bar and get me invested. Releasing one day before Ocarina of Time definitely makes it a lower priority thought. 😆

Kaori Mizuhashi is the original voice of Navi the fairy, a voice that many of us grew up with. It sounds like she's returning to reprise the role in the Japanese version, nearly 28 years later. Clip of an old promotional video for Ocarina of Time where she guided you, fully voiced.

I keep forgetting this announcement happened. I'm annoyed because if it's not a "Nintendo Switch 2 Edition" then that means it's actually a different cartridge/actual different game and I'll need a physical for my collection.

Is there anyone currently in Japan that would be willing to bid on a Yahoo Japan $28 auction for me and then just trust me to send you the money if you win? I use a proxy service and the seller keeps canceling the win when no one else bids ?probably? because they see its a proxy. But I can't be sure
