Two things landed this summer that mark that maturity: 1️⃣ CQL Release 2 went STU (a standard for trial use) last month. Substantive new features, clarifications, no breaking changes: cql.hl7.org

#CQL is an open language for clinical logic. Quality measures. Decision support. Computable guidelines. Cohorts. Readable for authors, executable for systems. Older than the #FHIR boom. Not married to FHIR either. But most energy is on CQL with FHIR now, via big quality measurement efforts.

CQL on FHIR is in balloting now, CQL version 2 has been released last month as a standard for trial use.
