The difference is not huge, but you could certainly hit the rest of the US long before LA or San Diego

New draft EA from Blue Origin just dropped, requesting to allow up to 50 orbital launches per year. The previous assessment allowed for up to 12. @jfoust.bsky.social @sciguyspace.bsky.social

If this happens to you and you have the opportunity to do so, take your leave plus FMLA immediately. You cannot be laid off while on leave. This happened to me shortly before my son was born and I got a heads up on my options.

Oh, geez, I was confused by the aliexpress version of the iwo jima monument behind him, and discovered the artist...jesus. Why are these people such weird freaks.

And there are also times when the sun has barely come up and the wind is blowing where you can just stop burning gas and oil. Known better as most of the time.

This is right now where I live. It's a cloudy day.

I mean, the thread itself is full of proud virulent racists, but is the bovino account real?

That is... Quite close to the coast, much closer than the prior map. Any clue which here is which? Is one of the capsule is uncontrolled? Alternate for if there is marine traffic?

Read the article. It has the funny and does a good job of pointing out the growing amount of crazy. The article ends with '“I can say I’ve been drunk and ended up in a Waffle House,” Mr. Spears said. “Don’t know how I got there. But I was there.”'

Wonderful, we're at the entrails and bones stage of our leadership journey

What the fuck are you doing in your house where "dried on food" is one of the primary problems you are battling with your floor? And yes, I have small children

@oshpark.bsky.social Going to be doing a small test board to see how far down castellation can go. I'm looking to get something at 0.65mm pitch. With the standard design rules, drills can be separated at a 0.6604mm pitch. I realize I could go to 4 layer or 6 layer service, but I need a 0.8mm PCB.

This is just a really weird take. The ethical problems are enormous, but arguing it can't do things which it clearly can is a weird take

I mean, you might think it'd be a good idea, but they were assured it would not end well for them. Good signal to close that book and not dig any deeper.

Holy fuck dude. Your job is to serve people in the event of a disaster. Not fucking sit there for 3 days deciding whether or not it's a good investment of tax payer dollars. I guess recovering bodies is cheaper than fast water rescues.

“It is laughable that a career public employee, who claims to serve the American people, would choose to resign over our refusal to hastily approve a six-figure deployment contract without basic financial oversight,” another DHS spokesman said in a statement about Pagurek’s resignation. “We’re being responsible with taxpayer dollars, that’s our job.”

This all triggers me hard because of my "American Heritage". One of my ancestors traveled to Pennsylvania to arrest a woman and her three children who were living there "illegally" and ship them off to a state that would enslave and sex traffic them. Maybe they can make a poster of that heritage.

All indications are that sx did understand the problem, they just did not appreciate the redundancy they would offer in case other issues occur

I'm not sure if anyone doing reporting on the Iowa mRNA vaccine bill has immunology experience. The writer's of Iowa Senate File 360 certainly don't. They've managed to write a ban for all live/attenuated vaccines, arguably other types as well.
