Dare I say we also need to relearn to be okay w being uncomfortable. In an age of Internet & digitaleverything we've grown accustomed to curating our onlineworld to see only what we want. &that's great. But we can't curate reality no matter how much we may want to.& we need to learn to handle that.

It's so unhealthy to pretend reality is different because it doesn't align with what we want. Acceptance of reality even if things we would rather not accept is an important skill and we NEED to normalize it. It doesn't mean we need to be OKAY w it? But denial to the point of delusion is dangerous.

I'm serious. We need to normalize getting rid of the "Why is the author acting like he knows so much"mentality. We can criticize the way something's written. People mad the Live action will show Sasuke's feelings on Sakura more blatantly when Kishimoto said a gajillion years ago how he felt about them and wrote them married with a kid. Everything was his decision & who do you think signs off on the live action? Sometimes we just gotta accept things.

One thing I hate hearing and often do is "Oh well, even the source isn't true it's not far from the truth" as if that is some point. Not far from the truth is useless in argumentation. No respectful argument should be using evidence that's "close to the truth" bc then it's literally not evidence

I keep seeing misinformation just spread. And I wonder how things got this bad. But I will say I'm pro knowledge and information. My literal job is science so I don't play that game. If I see misinformation I will eat it for breakfast. I don't care if it supports my claim. We don't do that here.
