I fixed it and released the link, but holy This slip because I was testing something and left me removing the cities by accidents 17k downloads version which butched end cities placement I am going to krill my shell

Discord message from me saying: "apparently endercon had no end cities generating because I am the dumbest mf to breath earths oxygen and left the structure set to remove them"

Not that I hate the way they do it in Vanilla or Dungeons, but it always feels a bit pointless the lore they build Like cool souls and stuff... but like why? it just feels a bit hollow to care about it In Legends at least it carried some form of theme and folklore that made me more invested

I really hope Mojang continues with the way they were writing lore and story in Minecraft Legends, it felt more based on themes than anything Like the hosts really represented the virtues one needs to shape the world, and the world building felt very folklore esque It was really cool

Oh yea and the ice ceiling I had already made for the frozen cave now only generates in the packed ice There's some other small details I have done so far like blue ice in aquifers, messy stone shapes embedded in the ice, and the packed ice covering less on the floor

Instead of just a 3D noise to determine where to put ice/calcite, what I am doing is using a 2D noise with xz offsets determined by two 3D noises This results in very vertical shapes but not perfectly vertical Also all interpolated to help smooth the calcite and make the shapes "blobier"

preparing my frozen caves to be replaced by mojang's ice cave except I am trying to hit a middle ground I don't like mojang covering SO MUCH in ice, it looks and in my experience will be awful for gameplay in many ways Also my placement of packed ice is a bit more elaborate

As with all games, I would recommend not looking too hard at filenames and dev names. Ideas change or are abandoned over the course of multiple year projects. Only player-facing names are “correct” because to scramble the game’s insides by updating all references could be a disaster for a launch.
