In my defense, some of this is getting caught up on Seanan McGuire's Patreon, so: short stories, not books (<10).
A screenshot from The Storygraph. Reading: 2026 Reading Goals
You have read 82 books this year.
Followed by a progress bar showing 82 on an overall goal of 120.

I love making fun of my orange boy. But just as I'd be comfortable teasing a friend for being blond, I would also not assume her traits belong to every blond, everywhere. People (and cats) are individuals.
An orange tabby, zonked out on the floor. Paws drawn up in "bunny" pose. Cat tax.

Really late with the March wrap-up and I'm not good at tracking pages every day, which makes them end up all on the date I finished. But look at all the pretties! (Yeah, my 5 stars are all re-reads except for Skyla's. I tend to love things more the more times I read them.)
Storygraph Wrap-Up Graphic for user @kiaras for the month of March 2026. A blue box at the top contains the preceeding information, as well as a user icon with just the words 'The End' on a dark blue background. The next row of boxes read: 12 books, 4,085 pages, and 4.46 av. rating.

The row of boxes below that one has a heading on the left that reads: Highest Rated Reads, then the covers of 3 books, all rated 5 stars. Those covers belong to: A Strange and Stubborn Endurance by Foz Meadows, with gold text on a red and black cover; Polaris Rising by Jessie Mihalik depicting the back of a woman with dark hair, wearing a leather jacket and carrying some sort of sci-fi gun at head height on a blue background; and Charon's Gold by Skyla Dawn Cameron, depicting a brunette in a tank top and carrying a knife against a brown and gray background.

Additional information includes average book length (381 pages), average time to finish (2 days), a 100% fiction pie chart to the left side of a genre breakdown in a bar chart. The bottom row of boxes displays an (inaccurate) page per day breakdown and a 100% digital pie chart. The Storygraph logo is located in the bottom right of the page.

Diamine #Inkvent day 24! Antler is a pigment, and such an odd shade. Is it brown? Purple? Gray? Share your thoughts on this one, please.
An ink swatch card reading Diamine Inkvent 24 Antler. The ink is a sort of purple-greige that is very hard to describe. Somhow a bit brown, purple, and gray all at once.

Diamine #Inkvent Day 22, a chameleon pigment called Pineapple Spritz. I dislike yellow so not excited about it. Day 23 is also a chameleon called Let It Snow. Not sure how I had the willpower not to do the old Le Tits Now meme but I did (be proud). It's pretty, a bright blue with silver shimmer.
An ink swatch card reading Diamine Inkvent 23 Pineapple Spritz. The ink is a bright yellow with shimmer. The pen was dirty at first so the word Diamine looks orange. Oops. An ink swatch card reading Diamine Inkvent Let It Snow. The ink is bright blue and shimmers like the sun on new snow. So pretty!

Diamine #Inkvent Days... I don't even know anymore... 19-21! Overcast - a standard gray blue that holds up to the name lovely. Ambiance - a peachy chameleon with pink shimmer. I like it despite how cutesy it is. Chaos - an extreme sheen purple as dark as my heart that shades to a dark brown.
A swatch card reading Diamine Overcast. The ink is a gray blue.A swatch card reading Diamine Ambience. The ink is a peachy orange shade with pink shimmer.A swatch card reading Diamine Chaos. The ink is a dark purple that sheens to brown.

Diamine #Inkvent day 18! Laurel is an extreme sheen ink that can't seem to decide whether it wants to be a green-black or a festive burgundy.
An ink swatch card reading Diamine Inkvent 18 Laurel. The ink is a dark green that is almost black but has a sheen of burgundy over more than half the text and swatch. There are flourishes down the left side.

Diamine #Inkvent day 17! Gala is marked standard but I'm quite fond of it. A pinky-violet shade.
An ink swatch card that reads Diamine Inkvent 17 Gala. There are some extra flourishes on the right, and some crosshatching on the left. The ink itself is a pink-violet shade that reminds me of irises.

Two more inks today because I forgot to photograph and post yesterday's. In my defense, I was running on about 3 hour's sleep. Frostbite is a blue shimmer ink. Ruby Taffeta is a blood red chameleon, also with some shimmer. #Inkvent

Two inks today! Diamine #inkvent day 13 is Molten Basalt. A dark blue-black with a sheen toward...copper? Day 14 is a pigment ink called Mittens. It's a hot pink and didn't budge when I tried to smudge it with water. Not my shade, but super playful.
A swatch card reads Diamine Inkvent 13 Molten Basalt. There are also some flourishes in the bottom right. The ink appears black.A swatch card. Reading Diamine Inkvent 14 Mittens. The word diamine is a little purple due to a tricksy nib that still had molten badalt hiding in it. The ink is a bright hot pink.

Diamine #Inkvent 12. Bubbly is a shimmery champagne shade. I think my nib wasn't clean, because there's a bit of green in the written text. Looks great, but isn't natural.
An ink swatch card. Text reads Diamine Inkvent 12 Bubbly. The swatch is a champagne gold with gold shimmer.

Diamine #Inkvent Day 11. Brrr! is a pigment shimmer ink. Good luck getting much shimmer out of this one, because it settles to the bottom of the bottle about 3 seconds after you shake it. Beautiful ink though.
A swatch card reading Diamine Inkvent 11 Brrr! The ink is a medium blue. You can see a bit of blue shimmer in a particularly thick bit of ink in the bottom left of the swatch.

Diamine #Inkvent 10. Nostalgia is a chameleon ink. An almost brown maroon that shifts to hot pink. (Do all chameleon inks shift to pink??)
A swatch card for Diamine Inkvent day 10. The ink is called Nostalgia. The asymmetrical ink blib is a dark purple-maroon that's almost brown in the text. There are a couple of blobs that shift to hot pink in the light.

Diamine #inkvent! Day 9! Bittersweet! I spilled it on my fingers bc of course I did! Highly recommend Amodex Ink & Stain remover, took it right off. Bittersweet is a standard shade in mint green. I kinda dig it.
An ink swatch. The card reads Diamine Inkvent 9 across the bottom and Bittersweet up the right side. The ink is mint green.

Time for Diamine #Inkvent Day 8! I know there are lots of similar shades out there but a deep space blue with a purple sheen will forever have my heart. Marked as extreme sheen, this ink fulfills its promise. Two photos today of the same card.
A Wearingul Cheshire cat swatch card in a deep space blue with the cat smile peeking through. The card reads Diamine Inkvent 8 Dream Catcher. The last er is smudged and you can see that the sheen is showing up as bright purple-pink.The same card as the last, except tilted to show the sheen. It's a bright purple-pink around the cat's smile, although the text still appears dark blue.

Diamine Day 7 was... yesterday! But I was resting. So here's Blush, a standard shade. A deep pink-red that looks like what you think fresh blood would look like. (It doesn't.)
An ink swatch on lined Rhodia paper. The swatch is a deep pinky red. The card reads Diamine Inkvent #7 Blush. The word blush is written at an angle.

Diamine #Inkvent Day 6. Fir & Fog is marked as a chameleon ink. Gonna have to sketch something with it, bc I'm not seeing it in my swatch. A very pretty blue-green-gray shade though. On a bit of Rhodia paper today bc I have. Um. Misplaced my swatch cards.
An ink swatch on a bit of lined paper. Reads Inkvent Day 6 Fir & Fog. The g in fog has smudged. The ink swatch itself is a sprucey green-blue with a hint of grayish.

Diamine #Inkvent Day 5! Marie Rose is an orangey brown standard ink. Kinda boring.
A Wearingul Cheshire cat swatch card. The swatch is orange. The ink off the nib is more orange-brown and the text reads: Diamine Inkvent 5. Marie Rose.

Diamine #Inkvent Day 4! Today's ink is scented! It's also called Smoky Tabacco, and yes the scent is what it says on the tin. Not sure I'm a fan. The ink itself is a medium gray-brown in the swatch but is a dark brown-black off my nib. Ignore the shine, that's just my lamp on wet ink.
A Wearingul Cheshire cat swatch card. It reads Diamine Inkvent Day 3 (it's actually day 4!) Scented! Smoky Tobacco. The writing is in a dark brown-black but the swatch itself is a more medium gray-brown.

Diamine #Inkvent Day 2 is Energy! Marked as a sheening ink, it is a deep plum that shades to an odd green gold. A drop of water brings out an eggplanty shade. Also, yes, I smudged this swatch card to hell.
A Wearingul Cheshire Cat swatch card. It reads (smudgily) Diamine Inkvent 2025 Day #2: Energy. The swatch itself is a deep purple, shading toward a purple-black at the top left. You can see a bit of the green-gold sheen at the shade change.

Seeing others report the glitter is gold. That may be right, and this is a color mixing issue, but it looks green to me! I'm willing to concede as far as green-gold. 😂
The bottom of a Diamine ink bottle. The glitter stuck at the bottom looks green.

It is time for the Inkening! Diamine Advent Calendar Day 1 is called Celestial Skies. Marked as a shimmer ink, it's a beautiful deep blue with a pine green shimmer. Also seeing some purple sheening under a lamp.
A Wearingul swatch card. The text on the card reads: Inkvent 2025 Day #1 Celestial Skies. The ink swatch on the left half of the card has an embossed chesire cat smile showing through the ink. The ink is a deep blue like the night sky with a subtle green shimmer.

As an agnostic, I am...dubious. And as a student of greek mythology, rather frightened.

Without downloading new pics, what's your energy going into 2025? I'm trying to keep this in mind. (Technically a graphic, not a pic, but it's in my gallery, so it counts.)
A 2x2 table with column labels: something goes poorly, and something goes well. The row labels read: worry about something, and don't worry about something. The first row of the table reads: suffer twice and suffer once. The second row reads suffer once and don't suffer. The chart is saying that worrying about something that goes poorly, you suffer twice. If you worry about something that goes well, you've still made yourself suffer by worrying. If you don't worry but something goes poorly, well you'll be suffering after rather than before. But if you dont worry about something that goes well, you havent suffered at all. So really the best thing to do is to not worry and hopw things go well.

If you listen closely, you can hear the sound effects from PONG coming from between his ears. #cat
An orange cat looking above and to the left of the camera. He is wearing a red bowtie collar and his rabies vax tag is visible. He is lying on a desk in front of a blurred monitor screen and a string of purple LED lights.

Paged through 90% of this as soon as I got the package open and looking forward to going back and reading some of many snippets and PTerry anecdotes. GNU Terry Pratchett. Thanks Harper Collins! (This is a review copy.)

How stinking adorable is this packaging? I know what I'm doing later! Thanks @hornedlarkpress.com ! #FightEvilReadBooks @lilithsaintcrow.bsky.social
An advanced copy of the Coyote Run novella by Lilith Saintcrow from Horned Lark Press. The cover of the book has one figure with guns blazing, messy hair and a long coat. There is another figure slightly below the other, wearing overalls, who has clearly just smacked the hell out of someone with a large wrench. The someone has a skull face with electronic protrusions and a red symbol on its forehead. The novella lies on top of a mailing envelope with the Horned Lark logo (which is a Horned Lark photo). The envelope has "Today is a good day to defy fascism. Lets read a book." printed on it.

I am... slightly ahead on my reading goal this year. Yay, novellas.
A screenclip from The Storygraph showing a 2024 Reading Goal challenge. The goal is for 100 books and shows a tracker bar mostly filled in with blue-green. Then it says 95% (95 books) Brilliant! You are ahead by 22 books!

And this one is my personal favorite, because it shows that it really did just become nighttime for about 3 minutes. These are all my photos, all rights reserved, etc.
Photo from April 8th eclipse during totality. A wider shot of homes with their outdoor lights lit. The white ring of the eclipsed sun is shown above the neighborhood. It is twilight dark and the sky is a deep blue-black with orange city glow in the distance.

So. Photos. This one was pre-totality and at the time I called it the "amazon frowny face".
Photo from the April 8th eclipse. Pre-totality sun, which is an orange crescent with the horns pointed down and slightly right against a deep blue sky. Looks like a frown.
