Hey everyone! ✨

Another WAGIC AGM and another year for the organisation has wrapped up. 🎉

🔥 And what a year it has been! 🔥

Since stepping into the role of Chair, I have been incredibly grateful for how wholeheartedly and enthusiastically you have welcomed me. I can only hope I have matched the energy that you have brought to every event, meetup, workshop and conversation throughout the year. Thank you to everyone for contributing to the conversation, WAGIC only exists because all of you continue to show up and be a part of this journey.

This year has brought both exciting progress and real challenges. We are seeing more games being made and some incredible projects coming to life across Western Australia. At the same time, many people across our industry are facing more challenges. It is important that we celebrate what is being achieved while remaining honest about how difficult it can be to build sustainable careers and businesses here.

Over the coming year, we want to push on the areas we have had the most success:
- Create opportunities to connect with one another
- Advocate for the future of our industry
- Make, test and showcase games together
- Provide practical professional development
- Strengthen relationships across the industry

We are also planning for the future. Our long-term goal is to build WAGIC into a more stable, professionally supported organisation that can advocate effectively for the sector, create stronger pathways for developers and businesses, and help pursue the shared infrastructure and opportunities our industry needs.

There is plenty still to do, but there is also real momentum to build upon. It is a privilege to serve as Chair, and I am excited to continue working alongside all of you to support a stronger, more connected and more sustainable games industry in Western Australia.
