Ultimate Toon-ament Update: A Brief Delay Check pic for more info.

Hi guys. I just wanted to give a quick update. A lot of personal stuff has been happening this week (basic life stuff alongside bigger life stuff), along side extra shifts at my day job, which has caused me to fall a little behind on some art and comic projects, including the comics for the Toon-ament. So to give myself a little breathing room and a chance to catch up I've decided to delay Round 5 until Saturday October 17th.

Thank you for your understanding and sorry for the brief pause in content. More stuff coming soon.

What the hell has Universal even been doing with Felix the past 15 years to justify a claim like that?

Yes it was, surprisingly it was the only Warner-licensed show not to have Nick branding slapped on it.

This might be the worst Simpsons character design I've ever seen. There is no way you can convince me this guy is the same age as Lisa. They literally put an adult's head on a kid's body.

Interestingly, the Nick Yogi show actually pre-dated the existence of Cartoon Network, hence why it happened at all. This video by Pop Arena goes into more detail. www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYZ5...

If we're getting a commentary track by Mega64 for this film, I demand that for the collector's edition of "Scooby-Doo and the Cyberchase" they have @caddicarus.bsky.social do the audio commentary so he can talk at length about Spindly Johnny.

*shrug* Might be good, might suck, we won't know until we see more. It's just wild that we're back to 80s "Youngify Popular Characters" cartoons. Will this be Doctor Who's A Pup Named Scooby-Doo or Doctor Who's Yo Yogi?

Still I will be fair and save any further views for when we get a trailer, but so far... Yeah I said it best earlier, I don't know how I feel about this.

Waggtoon (Commissions Open) @waggtoon.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

I will say I do like the designs of the Daleks. Like if you asked me to design cartoony Daleks this is exactly how I would do it, but everything else along side the fact that it's for pre-schoolers makes me think "Really? We're doing this?"

There are so many questions here. Why is the Doctor a kid-Rick Sanchez? Why is his sidekick a toaster (justice for K-9!)? Why the hell is slime coming out of the TARDIS??? I've seen some people say this image looks like AI, and I don't think I would go that far, just that looks a bit... Generic.

Waggtoon (Commissions Open) @waggtoon.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

I don't know how I feel about this. Like, if you mentioned the idea of a zany cartoon version of Doctor Who I would be over the moon with excitement, yet almost everything here feels off. It doesn't give off Doctor Who vibes at all.

Toon-ament Fanart Showcase: Shantae From the hit video game franchise: Shantae: Half Genie Hero. Fans who have been following me for awhile may remember that during the time of Super Smash Bros Ultimate I was one of many fans campaigning for her to be a DLC character in the game.

Personality wise he started off as a mix of Mickey and Bugs Bunny, then becoming a mix of Daffy Duck and Ren Hoek, and then becoming for lack of a better term, Timon-ish.

Waggtoon (Commissions Open) @waggtoon.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

He originally started off as Mickey Mouse, but a dog. Then he became Sylvester the cat, but a dog and also brown. Then the design kind of mutated from there.

Toon-ament OC showcase: Zingo Bingo Zingo (originally named Gogo) is the character I've been drawing the longest and thus is the easiest one to draw and write for. A street-smart, book-dumb, self-proclaimed casanova who often gets himself into trouble more than he gets out of it.

Toon-ament OC showcase: Joette Joette began as a little Tumblr joke (remember Tumblr), where someone randomly sent me an question on what would happen if I woke up as a girl. Every so often I brought her back and she became a recurring thing (a girl-sona if you will).

"Mr. Magoo" by Pete Alvarado, 1964-1965 December 19th, 1964 as seen in the San Antonio Light

Comic strip "Mr. Magoo," a tie-in to the Mr. Magoo character created by UPA. The nearsighted Mr. Magoo sits in a theater, booing the show, calling it dull. As he leaves, we see that this wasn't a play, but a police lineup.

I have similar feelings towards live-action Cat in the Hat, I remember when the trailer played in the theater and I had to cover my eyes the entire time, I was that scared. At least with the Grinch you could make the argument that he's meant to look creepy, the Cat in the Hat is not!

I straight up couldn't watch TV for awhile because I was terrified they might play a commercial for it. I have warmed up slightly to the Jim Carrey Grinch, but that face still gives me the creeps.
