It's truly lovely to see that no matter the age or origin of the character, it is possible to make something with friends that resonates with people, and brings forth the ability to collaborate and create together. Dentra's here to stay, and like trees now stands tall and allows for fruits to bloom.

040 4

Recently, however, after a design update, as well as being made even older, Dentra's own character saw updates, what with her having new happenings in life, as well as being given new direction in how her interpersonal relationships as well as her past now contrast her present and her future.

140 4

It led to a sort of state where Dentra and her being was essentially seen as that one pretty older lady, and not much else beyond that. Still, it was nice to see a character so beloved, to the point that she's the first to receive fan-commissions.

140 4

Originally speaking, Dentra was a repurpose of a character. She was made to save an old design from a project that's defunct, and she was adapted in a lowkey and world populating way. As time progressed, however, she amassed a bit of a fan club, with some people being very devout fans of her.

Redraw of my darling dear Clíodhna Sakurano since my style has shifted a bit since the last time :) #oc #BloomInGostiva

An illustration of my character, Clíodhna Sakurano, for @wadosk.bsky.social's Bloom In Gostiva.
She's a tall woman with pale skin, a slightly chubby build and a very pronounced bust, mint green hair, blue eyes and freckles along her cheeks.
Her outfit consists of a navy blue v-neck sleeveless top, baggy turquoise pants and black and blue runners. In this version of the illustration, she is also wearing an open teal short cardigan, a dark green facemask and a hayfever acupressure band on her right elbow.

Another Gladiolus birthday!! While the story arc he is a part of is complete and planned out, Gladi himself is a character I need to give more attention to (I am so busy tho T~T). He's a great mood-lifter to write for amongst his very serious allies and friends. #oc #FLORArt

A character inspiration chart for my OC Gladiolus Hoshinori (artwork drawn by @hecatia666.bsky.social). The inspirations are as follows:
Zara Hoshinori and Iolana Hoshinori, from @wadosk.bsky.social's Bloom In Gostiva, his canonical ancestors.
Lanz from Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and Reyn from Xenoblade Chronicles.
Enkidu from Under Night In-Birth, and lastly Hau from Pokemon Sun and Moon.

Brooklyn is a lovely creation made by someone I consider the loveliest. She's been fun to work with and around, and I forever am happy that the second Cooke child in the project ended up as such a real feeling character. I'm looking forwards to using her more as projects continue.

030 3

Still, I love her so that I've made her more prevalent with mainstay cast members. I care for her a lot, so I do tend to put her more forwards than originally intended. Characters like her, while not the most paramount to the grand scheme of things, are still incredibly important to me. I love her.

I imagined Brooklyn as the centrepiece of a different approach, one where she herself is her own star and she has her own surroundings, that don't necessarily have to coincide and relate to the ones established by the previous cast of characters. And to a degree, she does shine there.

While it is now less the case what with her having more direct relationships and interactions with the broader cast, she was originally written and intended to be somewhat separated from it, really being the beginning of her own world. I don't intend for all of Gostiva to centre around the same few.

Created by my darling partner right after she left for home after last summer's trip together, Brooklyn is a character that feels complementary to that which already came before her, as well as the starting point for something more remote/separated. She's something really interesting to write.

Today is October 1st, which means it is yet another Gostiva birthday today! Today's is Brooklyn's! Happy birthday Brooklyn! This a character who is very dear to my heart. While she isn't the most grandiose one in the cast, or even all that prevalent, she's a character I greatly love.

filling the role of the negotiator and someone who can deescalate conflict pretty easily. She usually knows exactly what to say to calm someone down or to keep them at ease, using gentle and reassuring words."

So I started working on another character that would be Diego’s best friend and she became Alissa! I created Alissa to be the most relaxed and sensible individual out of everyone who works at Summer Tech, the company that both her and Diego work at-

and flesh him out in my head, and as I was writing out more factoids and information for him, eventually I came up with the thought of “I think he needs a friend to help balance him out, let’s make a second Gostivan to be his buddy!”

I originally was content with just Diego Elliot as my singular contribution to the world of Gostiva, but as I started coming up with ideas for Diego, working out his role, and pondering on what he likes, I was brainstorming for more ways I could depict him -

I’m very happy with what I’ve come up with so far for about Alissa so let’s talk about her for a bit. I actually wasn’t to have her be a thing at all to be honest!

"So when Stella approached me about making my own Gostivans for the first time admittedly, I was super nervous about trying my own two characters to fit the world of Gostiva, but seeing how much fun everyone was having with it I decided to give it a go and out came these two!
