There are some bugs with the FlyK EE version, mostly problems with the 1st and 2nd boss in hard mode, I'll try to patch them before bed but at least the game is not crashing like crazy, this is mostly fine.

It is a common instinct to do that and it's not wrong per se. Indies have limited resources and this is a way to circumvent this. I think it's fair criticism for something on Next Fest, you can only participate once and it's a last opportunity to get some eyes and that needs a good first impression.

Now that Next Fest came and went I feel like I should make a blogpost about why a lil gamefeel polish takes almost no effort and goes a long way... The one time I tried to talk about it in a limited bite-sized format I did a poor job. But I feel it's important, many demos need it desperately.

It also aligns with their goal of competing with Steam by providing yet another platform to release your games in. Want a dip from Fortnites playerbase? Release your thing on Fortnite, our players will love it we pinky swear, you don't need to make a game with artistic integrity anyway.

My conclusion to this ordeal is that they looked at Blockchain games and thought "This is the future, but these games suck, what if we did this but like, good" Previously they had the engine, Fortnite and the store going on, but now all the eggs are in the Fortnite basket, it must succeed or die.

While Unreal Engines sloppafication process does not surprise me, they are a publicly traded company after all, I find extremely estrange this idea of needing to make your game part of Fortnite to succeed. This is not a solution for the industry, very unhealthy long term, what is Timmyboy smoking.

The only thing I know is that for sure they don't want the drops to be 80% of the time an armor piece, which happens because that's the bulk of the item table in the game lol.

Completed my PS2 Fromsoft Dungeon Crawler collection (Maybe I could add Evergrace someday if I play it and like it (not very likely)). Included are the 3 JP versions and 2 terrible EU versions, particularly happy that I found KF4 and STA while thrifting, no shade on ER though, it's a p solid game.

If you're not the spellcasting type you can use your slots to equip Chitin Charms, a throwable gadget that also apply status effects on your foes, ideal for a rogue/ranged type playstyle. (Work in progress for the FlyKnight Especial Edition update)
