These lovely 1871 almshouses tucked away in the village of Wilshaw were built for Eleanor Hirst, wife of a wealthy West Yorkshire mill owner, in memory of her daughter Mary. The almshouses & the mausoleum for Mary at St Mary Church are all Grade II listed. historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-...

We are part of this year’s Open House Festival. The Vic Soc are based in Bedford Park, Chiswick. Our building is Grade II, 1880 and designed by E. J. May. We are just a couple of mins walk from Turnham Green tube. Just drop-in between 11.00 am and 5.00 pm on Sat 13th September. More bit.ly/3UDOCf9

The #TopTen25 is out including our very own Edgerton Cemetery Chapel in #Huddersfield. Designed by James Pritchett and built in 1855 the Grade II listed chapel is now in a ruinous state suffering from years of decay and damage. victoriansociety.org.uk/endangered-b...
