102 years ago a young girl, Edna Cornwell, won 2nd prize in a poetry competition. The published piece was cut out and stuck proudly on a wall. At some point the excerpt was placed inside the book she won as a prize & it passed into other hands, perhaps after she died. Hello Edna, and well done 💙📚

@michaelspicer.bsky.social 1/2 Hello Michael, would you have any advice/suggestions for a nobody author with regards to tips for promoting their book? I know, if you had the answer to that you could bottle it, but I figured it was worth asking.

If there’s a piece of local history you’re worried is falling into disrepair it’s worth throwing your concern to the relevant authority. It can result in preservation steps and shows the owner/powers that be that they can’t get away with letting it slide into decay; people DO care and ARE watching!
