An adjustment isn't a magic solution. It might work. It might need changing. That's why good VR asks: Did it actually help? And if not: What do we change next? www.vrassociationuk.com/resources/un... #VocRehab #WorkplaceAdjustments #NeurodiversityAtWork #WorkHealth #OccHealth #Rehab

A good vocational plan can change Because people change Circumstances change Health changes Work changes Sometimes the right professional response is not to push harder towards the original goal It's to pause, review and adapt #VocRehab #VocationalPractice #WorkAndHealth #SustainableWork

Person-centred doesn't mean agreeing with every choice. It means making space for the person to understand their options, consider the implications and participate meaningfully in the decision. #VocRehab #ClientCentredPractice #VocationalChoice #WorkAndHealth #ProfessionalPractice

CPD should change something. Learn. Reflect. Apply. Discuss. Improve. Professional development isn't just about collecting certificates. It's about enhancing practice. What would help you develop your VR practice this year?

VRAUK @vrassociation.bsky.social · 10/09/2026
Case studies turn experience into learning. Not: "Here's what you should do." But: Why was this approach taken? What could we learn from it? What might we do differently? That's where case-based learning becomes useful. www.vrassociationuk.com/resources

Your profession isn't the whole of your VR practice VR practitioners bring existing professional expertise But vocational rehabilitation also requires specific knowledge and skills Work Employment Workplace demands Vocational goals Stakeholder collaboration That's why VR-specific competency matters

What does the "Spirit of VR" mean to you? If you had to explain the Spirit of Vocational Rehabilitation to someone who had never encountered VR before... What would you say?
000
VRAUK @vrassociation.bsky.social · 04/09/2026
CPD isn't about collecting certificates What changed because you learned something? Standards → identify expectations Audit → identify gaps CPD → develop knowledge Practice → apply the learning Review → identify what happens next What has your CPD changed recently?
000
VRAUK @vrassociation.bsky.social · 03/09/2026
"They returned to work." Is that enough to tell us the intervention worked? What about: → sustainability → capacity → confidence → workplace adjustments → client experience Good VR needs more than an endpoint. It needs meaningful outcomes. What outcome do you think matters most?

VRAUK @vrassociation.bsky.social · 01/09/2026
VR doesn't belong to one profession. Different disciplines bring different perspectives to the same question: How can we help this person participate in work or occupation? What does good multidisciplinary working look like to you?
000
VRAUK @vrassociation.bsky.social · 31/08/2026
VR is bigger than "return to work". Good vocational rehabilitation considers: → the individual → their capacity → their circumstances → their work → their environment → the barriers they face → what sustainable participation actually looks like
000
VRAUK @vrassociation.bsky.social · 28/08/2026
CPD isn't collecting certificates. It's what you do with what you've learned. Learn. Reflect. Apply. Review. Adapt. Repeat. The VRA Standards expect practitioners to engage in regular CPD and reflect on their practice, taking action based on feedback, audits and personal reflection.
