i drew them chilling on a dev beacon tower to cope with the playtest withdrawal and also because it's a very good character 🟦🔴
Illustration of an anthropomorphic rabbit character with off-white fur, blue and red hair, and a long glowing tail. they're wearing a blue-gray jumpsuit and one earring on each ear - one a blue square, the other a red circle.

they're sat atop a large pillar that extends very far down to a green planet below, built from various blocks found in the NSO Playtest Program game. their back is resting against a Dev Beacon from that same game, and their arms are raised behind their head.

i may have forgotten to share my progress LOL my world now generates in dynamic chunks, there's a lil' bunny guy you can control, and you can break blocks and place cobblestone. ain't that neat? world generation still eludes me, hoping i can get it sorted out before i tackle lighting next 👀

i got to draw a little banner and icon for this server :3
preview of the Playdate Café discord server

the banner depicts a playdate on a teal background, displaying a pixelated coffee cup on its screen. next to it, a wordmark reads "playdate café", drawn in the style of the playdate logo

the server description reads "A place for humans to discuss, help each other, and share cool stuff around Playdate development 💜✊"

i've started working on a 2.5D voxel game in #godotengine for now i'm just using one of the sample projects as a base, i've added a way to define blocks and their textures now i need to figure out how to optimize the mesh by removing hidden faces!

modeled this little guy inspired by those very early Minecraft characters, for a game project i hope ill be able to carry

the model has a low-resolution pixel art texture and is mainly built from cuboids, but slightly rounded outwards to look more interestingthe same character, shown in a mid-walk cycle pose

huh so minecraft dungeons II has a different art style, with a completely new texturing style (and without block edge highlights, boo) i know art direction in a sandbox game is a little more difficult but dang... why does it gotta look so much better than the base game??

so the previous method used @oskarstalberg.bsky.social 's dual grid system so it evaluates corners, meaning it only needs to check 4 neighbors which only requires a 16-tile set but since the center of the tile is a corner, the boundaries of the tile extend past the edges
the same scene as the original post, but using a different tiling method causing the collision boxes to extend past the edges of the terrain
010
Voxy @voxy.space · 03/08/2026
decided to switch from a dual grid system to a 47-tile blob tilemap it was a lot of extra work but at least the collision rectangles align better with the terrain, so that'll save extra bitmap collision checks! shoutout to this pastebin for the bitwise logic i needed pastebin.com/zk0pMXe9

so belgium reworked its age rating system for tv, adding two new age categories (everyone, 6 and up) as well as pictograms for content warnings it's a good initiative but uh, why is the pictogram for discrimination specifically depicting a *white* stick figure as the one discriminated against? 🫩
belgium's new age rating pictograms, styled as text, numerals, or symbols inside a white circle. they're shown arranged in two columns:

column 1 displays all the age ratings: "AL/TOUS" (everyone), "6", "10", "12", "16", and "18".

column 2 displays pictograms for specific content warnings: "violence" (a knife dripping with blood), "fear" (a screaming emoji), "sex" (two stick figures laid atop one another in bed), "addictive substances" (a bottle of alcohol and pills), "foul language" (a speech bubble with grawlixes), and "discrimination" (two stick figures shoving a third, differently colored stick figure)

of note is the fact the discrimination pictogram depicts the discriminating stick figures with solid shapes making them appear dark skinned, and the discriminated against stick figure with outlines, making it appear light skinned 😬

would the @play.date be called "le playdate" or "la playdate" in french? 🤔 (made these mockups for funsies cuz i was bored LOL)
3 playdate consoles aligned on a teal background.

the first one displays the setup wizard. text on screen reads:

the third one displays the games folder screen, labeled "DOSSIERS", and a list of folders: "Tous les jeux", "Ordre alphabétique", "Jeux récents", "Saison 2", "Saison 1", and "Catalogue".

even if you somehow miss the typical made-in-chatGPT typography and the mangled keychain on that main artwork, a quick glance at this developer's itchio page and website immediately clocks them as a heavy genAI user
the logo of "Shadow Break Games", a black on yellow silhouette of some smiling imp-ish creature leaning on text reading "SHADOW BREAK GAMES". artifacts are present on the tuft of fur next to the creature's right arm, as well as one of the action lines next to the K in "BREAK", which wouldn't be present in human-made artwork and are instead compatible with ai-generated outputscreenshot of the "Shadow Break Games" itch.io page. the background features improperly tiling artwork that has clear generative AI tells, such as an off-model looking Playdate and halftone patterns full of muddy artifacts

managed to get very basic collision going for that playdate game - uses the built-in AABB system for the bulk of collisions, then runs pixel-by-pixel checks when necessary still gotta add stuff like bouncing, walk controls and whatnot though...

yet another attempt at getting my worms-like game for #playdate off the ground... this time i'll try to leverage the built-in AABB collision system. when that detects a collision, then i can do more precise pixel-based detection. so i worked on finding a way to update the AABBs when erasing holes

oh that's very kind of you to offer! i already had a similar system in place to generate the terrain, perlin noise used as a base for dual-grid tilemap to get something decently fast that still looks organic :D (i wanna make this for playdate, though it would look very cool in 3d, admittedly...)

how is that misleading or false when the thread you're linking confirms they indeed have merged PRs with AI disclosures, which are thus AI-assisted or contain LLM-generated code?
snippet of thread by rémi verschelde @aiken.bsky.social

"All other PRs are submitted by humans who are expected to take responsibility over the code they submit, and they undergo a PR review by expert maintainers to ensure quality.

They need to understand it, test it, be confident in the implementation, be willing to help maintain it if it’s merged.

Likewise, they need to be able to assert copyright over it. That precludes any substantial vibe-coding.

If a PR has an AI disclosure, or signs of undisclosed AI usage, it gets scrutinized more as we mechanically trust it less (especially from new contributors).

In practice, we've merged ca. 47 PRs with AI disclosures out of 3700 in the past two release cycles, so 1.27%."

sorry to all my neurodivergent and disabled followers, moots, and friends who are also anti-AI. it turns out that not being dependant on the shitty technology backed by evil trillionaires that's destroying our planet, economy, and cognitive abilities is actually ableist
bluesky thread:

post 1, by Voxy @voxy.space
"is it possible? maybe not, i'm sure slop will slip through the cracks sooner or later, but that doesn't mean they should capitulate entirely and just let ai usage go rampant. trying to forbid it even though it'll be difficult and imperfect is still the morally superior stance."

post 2 by anonymised user, replying to post 1:

"Love how you ableist anti-AI crusaders label us neurodivergent and disabled folks as immoral for using AI assistive tools.

Gatekeeping assistive tools is never morally superior - no matter what your smug, self-righteous ego says."

Voxy @voxy.space · 21/06/2026
i think their current stance is deeply flawed and bordering on hypocritical. you can't "discourage" the use of AI to contribute and request that its output respects copyright, while allowing a core maintainer to use a mainstream model like Copilot, no matter how much he downplays his usage of it.
snippet of a Feb 25 revision of this pull request by akien-mga (rémi verschelde), core contributor to the Godot Engine: https://github.com/godotengine/godot/pull/116454

text reads:
"AI disclosure: I designed and tested all changes myself, but I did use Copilot midway through to automate some of the busywork of moving all enums to a new file and adapting the rest of the codebase for the changes (it basically ran a couple vibe coded python scripts, based on initial work I had already done myself to validate the design). I reviewed all changes and spent a few additional hours days fixing remaining compilation errors and optimizing includes further. So I don't consider any of the code in this PR to be "AI generated", it's the same I would have done myself. The PR description is verbose but that's all written by me, there's just a lot to explain about this PR 😅"
