The Sims 1 console level data being portable to PC / vice versa is super cool. 2nd floors don't work on console and some unique console objects don't work on PC as they don't exist, but it's pretty awesome to see such good reuse of already existing code in a project like this.

I've been working on a long form video for The Sims 1 and it's very unique console ports on-and-off for about a year now and some of the things within these games are really fascinating to me. Hopefully one day this video will be done and shared online for Sims fans.

Boulder Bowl Galaxy does have a texture on the ramp, but when you knock it down, the lighting makes it look like it's not there at certain angles. All this hoo-ha over a texture change lol. #SuperMarioGalaxy2

Infinite Yoshi Flutter still works in #SuperMarioGalaxy2 for Switch 1 / Switch 2... (I'm very bad at it, sorry)

bought a rad2x cause using a gv-usb for Nintendo analogue systems in 2025 is ass. Tried it with an iQue using an iQue to Nintendo multi out converter and yes, it works.

Started scripting out a video for the entire history of Official Emulation by Nintendo... but it's going to take me forever and I need to do a lot of research on things I don't know much about like Animal Crossing and Pokémon. I'd really like to get people (speedrunners) interviewed for some parts

Gamecube NSO: X+B+Start still works as a soft reset macro. I assume back in time still works because of this. I only know how to do it in TP, so hopefully a Wind Waker speedrunner / enthusiast bothers to look into it for their game even though it's essentially useless.

N64 NSO on switch 2 also has audio delay, the audio is not playing at the correct points in Link's animation. Ty to zfg for the video he sent of this of me last night while I was asleep

At this point I honestly think they should hire consultants, as in, speedrunners for each system they work on to get the thumbs up from them on how it feels. Speedrunners are particular, but we also accepted Wii VC and GameCube which have more input lag than n64 because it was tolerable... 😔

Kieran @volvagia.zelda.gg · 06/06/2025

The input lag on Gamecube NSO is unacceptable. This is comparable to how bad N64 NSO was at launch. Extremely disappointing results once again, Nintendo.

Didn't see this until recently - living legend in terms of his contributions to the games industry. Really nice to see he's alive and healthy. Would not have guessed he's nearly 70 with just this video alone. Wish they had produced something like this for the western Square fans.

What did we learn today?? SF ranked below 1700mr is full of lunatics aside the random person who has an alternative master character already. Approx time in ranked with Juri: 2-3hrs... 2nd master character... Ryu next then Rashid or Cammy. Ranked still sucks.
