Here is the final prototype of the 3D printed shell that holds a coin cell and up to three LEDs. LEDs now slide in easily while not being too lose. Printing time of 50 pieces is 15h. No support needed. I like that it looks like a seashell ;) I will upload the […] [Original post on chaos.social]

Intro 6/10 Combining pixel art with paper circuits turned out to be a fun way to get kids creative with electronics. Some kids like to copy their favorite emoticons or game art; others go with abstract patterns or come up with their own designs. Never have I ever experienced a kid shying away […]

@magsamond hehe so cool that you see the advantages of my little design :-) You saw the other post that adds a binder clip to lock everything in place? It would be cool to have an on/off switch as well, but I feel dissassemly is so easy with this design that it is not neccesairy […]

@magsamond you mean how to disassemble it? Yes that is what I wanted to solve. Easy assembly and disassembly while maintaining a minimal design (those will geht earings/jewelry)

@oscherler nice! Should work fine i think. But... Lots of work 🤔 for a 3d printed version a nice solution, as it is rigid. I think about overlapping paper rotors and a rubberband for pressure.

@oscherler sorry for the late reply. You version does indeed look way more fun to use! Nice improvements! I was wondering if using conductive tape for the tracks could work. That would turn the paper enigma into a real engima :-) It would be a ton of work but I might try one day...
