This is the last week before we spend a lot of energy shifting the entire block Hellywood is situated on over (the zoning laws in Hell are diabolical). In addition to our regularly scheduled streams, we'll also be having a triple feature in the discord this thursday! #Vtuber #Vuppet #LGBT #Twitch

Hey, do you watch/lurk twitch tabs on firefox like me? Do you wonder why your tabs will sometimes crash or get forced into an infinite loading loop until you refresh? Yeah, me too. I found a way to fix that. #Twitch

Step 1: go to Firefox settings, search for "Enhanced Tracking Protection"

Step 2: Click "Manage Exceptions", type in twitch.tv into the Address field, click "Save Changes".

Step 3: refresh all of your current tabs if you have any.

Just a small announcement. Do not bring up the recent celebrity deaths on stream this weekend. I don't want to hear it. The Hellywood Theater is not the space for it. First time will be a chat timeout, second time will be a ban. This is your only warning about this weekend (it will be pinned).

Yup, this is another one of those posts. Fuck Gen AI, fuck whatever stupid suit influence convinced Twitch this was necessary. Here's how you turn it off, but please continue to support streamers even if it's through alternative methods like kofi and throne.

Alrighty, I'm sure everyone's seen the ping by now, but in case you haven't, Twitch is trying to train generative AI on all the channels. That's bad. HOWEVER

comma
you can opt out. Here, lemme show you how.

Go to your account settings
go to Security and Privacy
Go to the bottom and click that thing OFF.

@everyone

And if you REALLY want to stick it to Twitch/Bezos/Those Assnuggets, support your favorite streamers through alternative means.

Around here, that means the Kofi https://ko-fi.com/volasaurus/goal?g=23
the Throne https://throne.com/volasaurus
and the Vgen. https://vgen.co/volasaurus

Thanks for taking the time to read this, and hopefully this gets removed ASAP.

Go to the bottom and click that thing OFF.

Cooking for the week off, made a big batch of homemade chicken tikka masala. A little more honey and chili powder than the recipe called for, but it's incredible. (Labelled graphic because CW: meat.)

TL;DR Thank you so much for everything, bonelings. I'm tired, we'll do closing ceremonies this Sunday <3

VOLATHON 2025
PREAMBLE

First, I'd like to thank everyone who supported the Hellywood Theater this year. Without you, this show would not be possible.

Your kindness and generosity will not be forgotten or go unappreciated.

Even now I'm working hard to get all of your incentives and prizes made and delivered. I'd like to get it all delivered within 2 months at the latest (and please hold me accountable to that).

Before I continue, I'd like to personally thank everyone who contributed this year:

(Alt text for contributors will be provided in a second post)

VOLATHON 2025
The Good

Y'all earned a total of 12,632 points over the course of Volathon and knocked out 22 goals!

Not only that, but we also achieved partner on twitch and funded the Dual PC setup! Thanks to you, our streams and shows are going to be stronger and better than ever!

We had so many awesome new memories with community nights together! We made a lot of friends! We played a lot of great games! We made SO MUCH art!

We even finished a complete chronological run of Kingdom Hearts in Proud Mode!

The Bad

I think some of my time values for Volathon might've been miscalculated. Also, in spite of all of the precautions we made, some of the tracking was missed and I've done what I can to correct it.

This year we used a completely in-house Subathon timer and there's some flaws that I'd like to fix before next Volathon.

I think the goal intervals were also a bit awkward and I'd like to have more refined personal goals next year.

The Ugly

90 Days was a lot, and I think any future Volathons will be capped. I had discussed capping it at 40 days last night, but I think I might actually go lower, cap all future Volathons at 20 days. I feel like it's better for my mental health, and gives me better ways to plan around it. These long subathons are just not sustainable on a personal level, and I want to do better for you, bonelings.

I'd like to avoid burnout and I'd like to give you a better show.

VREX, Your New Favorite Cryptid @volasaurus.bsky.social · 26/06/2026

TL;DR : You can still call me Vol, Vola, Volas, yours, etc. I'm just giving the branding a fresh coat of paint that better reflects the show we have now <3

So I meant to save this for next week, but a ton of logistical hurdles kind of popped up all at once, and once it went through, I had to jump on it.

Yes, you're seeing that correctly. I am now VREX on Twitch. Same Vol, same cursed skull, same frisky fossil.
But this is something I've wanted to do for a while now. I like Volasaurus. Volasaurus is and will always be the main skull. However, since I started this channel, the lore and community surrounding the theater, the skulls, and the Meat Puppet have evolved and shifted. With the introduction of my true form, you've gotten a chance to meet the rest of the swarm in a meaningful way. Some outlier favorites have formed.

Some skulls have really taken a shine and like to gravitate towards specific games and activities. Volycan makes you laugh. Volorvid has stolen your heart. Volrachnid has only been around for a week and you think they're the cuddliest little guy ™ . Voladon...is a really big sea woman. Gawddamn. But through it all you've come to love them as much as I do.

Why not VOLA or VOL?
When you change your handle on twitch, even with the partner badge, some names are trickier to get than others. For example, it's extremely unlikely that you'll get a name associated with a banned account. VOLA was one such account. And as for VOL, 3 letter names are a legacy feature that's no longer available to most folks.

So why VREX?
When we raid out, for the past 3 years, we've always said "Your favorite V-Rex Cryptid has arrived!" and since Volasaurus is still the primary vessel, this felt fitting. But VREX as a name is snappy. It's fast. It's easy to see, easy to read, easy to pronounce. It's stylish. It's still V-adjacent, and it still focuses on Volasaurus, but it acknowledges that the rest of the swarm exists.

I know there will be some confusion going forward, but I hope that our shows going forward will prove that I'm the same cozy cryptid you know and love ❤️

TL;DR: Your skull is running out of steam, Day 90 will be the final Day of Volathon 2025. Get your last minute channel/personal goals in this weekend! #Vtuber #Vuppet #LGBT #LGBTStreamer #Donathon #Twitch

"For those of you who were not in stream tonight, in spite of there being over 50 hours left on the timer again (thank you @wheretib ❤️ )we'll be ending Volathon at the end of Day 90, regardless of how much time is left on the timer.

I am running out of steam to keep doing this, and I know y'all would want me to take care of myself and avoid burnout, so we're going to have 3 more days of rad content, and then I'll be taking 2 days off next week.

Any time left on the timer at the end of Volathon will be added to the beginning of Volathon 2026. In the meantime, if there's any goals you want to achieve (personal or channel), this would be the weekend to do it. Thank you everyone who's been here so far. Let's make this weekend fucking awesome, yeah?

(Proper schedule post later today)"
