I have a new short story out now! "A Solstice Kiss" is the gentle, cozy tale of a woman stuck in a rut who finds a new path forward--and a possible new love--while visiting Stockholm. ❄️ Also, the other authors in the collection are a romance Murderers' Row! www.simonandschuster.com/books/The-Tw...

Doing some meal planning and prep and thought I'd share tonight's project. On the menu: Enchilada casserole... mini version.

Woke up to destruction. Cat toys everywhere. Stack of receipts scattered. Printed knit pattern torn. Package of crackers torn open, cracker crumbs all over. Loaf of bakery bread on the floor, wrapper in ribbons, chunks chewed out of it. Bits of kitchen sponge in the cat fountain, puddles all over.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but Pinterest has added a "see less AI [category]" filter option. If Pinterest has the pin marked as being AI, you can click the three dots under it and choose the "see less" option.

I've got Mom's clothes on Marketplace. I'll give them a week, then it's off to donation. Might list some of my stuff while I'm at it...

Another month. This boy is going to be HUGE.

Kitten by his water fountain. The spout is now chest-high on him and he's looking more cat than kitten. He's 20 weeks old now.

Because I like to try these things periodically... Let me give you my thoughts on Thrive Market. I will be including a referral link (US) if you want to try it for yourself.

Dino Tobias Toebeans, Day 1 vs. Day 31. What a difference one month makes.

Kitten sitting by a pet fountain, his shoulder is about 2 inches below the spout.

Same kitten standing next to the fountain, his shoulder over an inch over the spout.

If you are not in need of food assistance, let this serve as a list of where to donate. Every little bit helps.

So, just had a convo with a friend who was questioning how she was going to afford back-to-school shopping. We have a tax-free weekend coming up, but that isn't enough to make her budget work for 3 kids. So because y'all know I'm cheap AF, here's how I managed to outfit 3 kids as a broke mom.

(former biller here) Friends, yes. always call. And if you can check payments and balances online, do so. Medical billing is basically a spreadsheet of who should pay what. Some clinic managers dump all payments into one spot instead of applying to charges. They will 100% fuck you up.

Trying a stretchy invisible bind off and am 100% convinced I'm fucking it up. It's ugly and not as stretchy as I need it to be. Boo Strong imposter knitter vibes tonight, y'all.

I have been told that this undercover ICE agent tried to get observers to scan a QR code “for his website”. The QR code did not resolve to a link. DO NOT SCAN UNKNOWN QR CODES FROM STRANGERS. This is a massive security risk! Bad things can happen to you if you do it! Stay frosty, friends.

I'm not a serious birder but I do like seeing birds and today I saw a bald eagle in the wild for the first time. It was amazing.

home from work and WHEW what a day. Not because we were busy, but because a shoplifter was. This woman was in the store FOUR HOURS and we were just all watching her stuff things in backpacks, put on layers and layers of clothing, try to duck us at every turn.

Watching sumo and someone in the crowd is feeling fabulous today.

zoomed in image of a person in the crowd behind a sumo wrestler. They appear to be wearing a fancy kimono, black with a white collar with black imagery. Face is made up with heavy black eyeliner and purple shadow with glitter. a black and white striped scarf is over their forehead and they are wearing a sequined blue and purple hat that appears to be a cloche style with some kind of upright piece in the back. Not even joking, this is the most amazing thing I've ever seen in the crowd at a sumo tournament.

I'm praying for ICE agents today. May they not know a moment's peace until they quit, and seek amends. May their children revile them. May their parents regret them. May they know they deserve the hatred and distrust of their countrymen. And may all their tomatoes be underripe and flavorless.
