we feel like a lot of people are more "disgusted by SA" than "want to help the victim" this leads to things like- well, the victim is tied to the SA (yknow, as the victim of it), so it reminds people that the SA exists, so some amount of disgust leaks through to them as well

im... not sure tbh for some of them it might be that, for some it definitely is, but- it also feels like theres some that genuinely believe its good ...people dont really have a tendency to go "yeah im evil", even the people like musk probably think "me exerting my power is the definition of Good"

ive gone through the cycle of christian --> reddit atheist --> agnostic atheist --> anti-morality/egoist (since morality makes people do so many bad things while forcing others to not fight back) --> really obsessed with the idea of religion but in an even more incomprehensible way (& still egoist)

counterpoint: most people's idea of a "decent human being" is still tied to christianity (and the idea of an objective right and wrong is Very tied to christianity) ....that said, its still possible to not hurt people without caring about morality. its just a lot more Complicated to get there.
