This Pride Month means recognizing what is at stake for all of us when we do not stand up to protect those most vulnerable in our communities. As Marsha P Johnson reminds us, there is "No pride for some of us without liberation for all of us. #Pride2026

Wednesday’s hearing made clear that @splcenter.org is just the beginning. The Trump administration and its Congressional allies have built a playbook for targeting any organization they disagree with. No organization is safe from this abuse of power. #DissentIsNotACrime @civilrightsorg.bsky.social
Graphic that has a quote in white and red text on a black background. The text says: SPLC has been targeted by extremists and their supporters for years, not because it is dangerous, but because it is effective. Today it is SPLC, but in a sense, we are all SPLC. The indictment of @splcenter.org is a direct attack on free speech and a free and fair democracy. The Trump administration is using the full weight of the federal government to punish organizations for their willingness to fight for our rights.

Yesterday, we celebrated the 56th Earth Day, reminding us what collective action can achieve. Earth day is a call to keep pushing for solutions that lower costs, expand clean energy, and protect public health in the legacy of landmark legislation like the Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act. 🌍

Black History Month reminds us: resilience fuels progress. Democracy survives only when rights and civil liberties are protected for all. As authoritarianism rises, we must stand together to defend our democracy. #BlackHistoryMonth2026

Today is the National Day of Mourning, a time to honor Indigenous ancestors and confront the violent history behind Thanksgiving. These harms persist through attacks on tribal sovereignty and ongoing injustice. Progress requires truth, accountability, and action.

This Trans Day of Remembrance, remembering those lost is a solemn responsibility: the rising attacks on trans communities remain a threat to our collective safety, dignity, and democracy. Honoring this day means advocating for policies that expand safety, dignity, and opportunity for trans people.

It takes about 18 seconds for Elon Musk to “earn” the median U.S. household income of $69,392. But unlike worker pay, his income may never be taxed. This Labor Day, we’re calling for a billionaire minimum income tax. #TrumpTaxScam #TaxBillionaires

Happy Tax Day 2025! Most of the 2017 Trump-GOP tax cuts are set to expire in 2025. This gave huge breaks to the rich and added nearly $2T to our debt. Now Trump and his cronies want to extend them. That means working families pay more, but get less. #TaxDay #NoMoreWealthyTaxCuts #TaxFairness

The fight for workers’ rights is the fight for trans rights, and the fight for trans justice is the fight for labor justice. On March 31, honor César Chávez’s legacy and celebrate trans lives by committing to the ongoing work of justice for all. ✊🏳️‍⚧️

Farmworkers were consistantly ignored—until Chávez and organizers pushed the nation to pay attention. Trans people, too, have been erased from history, policy, and public life. Trans Day of Visibility challenges that erasure, demanding recognition, safety, and respect.

The farmworker movement was built on solidarity and organizing—workers coming together to demand justice. Trans communities do the same, creating mutual aid networks, advocacy groups, and policy change efforts to protect each other against discrimination and violence.

César Chávez fought for farmworkers’ rights—demanding fair wages, safe working conditions, and dignity in labor. Today, trans people, especially trans people of color, continue to face workplace discrimination, barriers to employment, and economic instability.

César Chávez Day and Trans Day of Visibility—are two observances that may seem separate but are deeply connected through the fight for rights, justice, and representation. 🧵
