Blogger's blogfeed is still borked. Some blogs update just fine but a lot are stuck. It doesn't seem to matter if a blog updates frequently or not, or if it is blogger-blog or on another platform. I've tried to relink "stuck" blogs in the feed (in case if links are now invalid) but it doesn't help.

CP 2077 endings (in my case Sun/Don't Fear the Reaper and Temperance) are still as gutwrenching as I remember them. Temperance feels like a proper ending: one book closed, another is about to begin. It is also way more involved emotionally than the Sun (which is just busy and slightly hopeful).

I think Hexcrawloween jams (both 1 and 2) have very comfortable setup for mini-setting. Clear, manageable, and yet big enough. Here is a link to the second jam (soon to start) and it has a link to the first. itch.io/jam/hexcrawl...

I understand the frustration behind this and how the button is, basically, encased in a metal cast now (after the layers and layers of tape of failed attempts to stop the Pressing of the Button), but people will still try to press it. The red tape just turned it into a _forbidden_ big red button.
A photo of an elevator panel with a button covered by a giant big metal case layered with red and regular tape and a sign saying "Do not touch this button."
The red tape makes the whole construction to look like a very tempting big red button to press.

One of the resolutions for 'how deadly TTRPG weapons are' problem is to allow for delayed but guaranteed death. This is for the situation when somebody's character is held at knifepoint (a very dangerous situation IRL) but they shrug it off because it is only 1d4 + mod. damage and they have ~50HP.

I really like this moment in Cyberpunk 2077 where V has to use (an ancient, by this point) payphone and he doesn't get what receiver is for so he just speaks aloud for a moment until other person shows him. A small but such cool detail.

“What if an aerospace company told you that this newest plane sometimes gets totally out of control and even refuses to listen to the pilots?” Mr. Casar asked me. “How do you think the safety regulators at the F.A.A. would react?” IDK man, why don't we ask Boeing what happened when they said that?

I used to be irritated by ice-cream trucks in summer. But this is only the second time in the whole summer I hear one, and I realized that gradually, year after year, they disappeared from this place. Strangely this sky-blue truck playing its overly cheerful music on an empty street is saddening.

Hell incarnate. Incessant noise of any magnitude destroys the mental balance very quickly, but this magnitude goes beyond a healthy limit even for a brief time exposure – and these people have to live with it 24/7. Let invite the owner of this data center to live in their house for a week.

Kind of a quibble, but when the new video is called something like 'Dark Sous 2 hidden subtext" but the video itself is the same zone-by-zone rehash with about the same shallow theories that are here for last 10 years, it is frustrating even if it is just an honest understanding and not a clickbait.

Tonight I dreamt the apocalypse of beauty: the earth crust bulged and then burst in colours of fire – yellow, orange, ruby – it was not lava but giant petals of gardens below, growing in the heart of the planet and finally meeting the sun. It was quick. Continents just broke into small pieces.

Saw a notebook for cooking recipies. The template actually makes for a pretty good, if austere, character sheet. I have a huge temptation to get it and then spend August remapping every single page with some strange arrangements of words for fictional TTRPGs (but it has like 200+ pages, so no)

After dungeons, mythic lands, mecha and interstellar journey, where would Bastionland go next? The answer is obvious. It is back to the kitchen! (to be clear, this is just a joke I thought about when I found this picture. The image is photoshopped)
A low-quality photo of the front of 'Odd Burger' restaurant with paper-plastered windows; barely visible bicycle is on the left side of the picture and what is likely a tree on the right side of the picture. 'Into the..." text photoshopped on the top of the sign, so the whole thing reads as 'Into the Odd Burger', which is a joke.
