That’s an homage to the the strutting college mascots that are so popular in this part of NC. I’d like to think it’s mostly inspired by strutting Tuffy (NCSU logo) bc the Hurricanes and NCSU share an arena and colors. But UNC, Duke, and ECU all also have/had that similar 60’s era muscle mascot

Whether you are pro or anti snow, either way it’s not hard to feel directly targeted by mother nature with this upcoming snow storm.

Although I will admit that I recently was fed up with all the grey hairs but I’m not permanent dyeing my hair anymore, and maybe as a subconscious rejection of trad wife vibe or nostalgia for my alternative youth, I dyed it purple which looks amazing on the white hairs lol.

Me with my naturally dark brown long hair, just dyed purple so all my grey hairs are now bright purple. Looks like I have some bright purple highlights running through my hair. Hair has a purple glow in the bright sun but otherwise the color is very subtle. This is second day after wash hair, my usual curls/waves are very loose because it has been up in a bun and not re-styled.

This is just a month ago. You can see how fragile and arthritic my boy Otis was. But he was still obviously enjoying life. He went down hill from here. Could barely stand up out of his bed in the morning. So thankful I got to have this good boy in my life for 14+ years. Our home is so quiet now.

I haven’t been on Bluesky much recently-summer has been very busy. Have my son home from college, which is wonderful. But my bestest boy Otis has been basically on doggie hospice for months now. We had to say goodbye yesterday. Had him since he was a pup, for 14 wonderful years, my heart hurts.

My husband captured the sweetest series of pictures of our baby girl Millie (not a baby, she’s 8, but she’s our baby, and THE baby of the house). Tell me dogs can’t communicate non verbally with their people.

Millie is sitting on the couch, staring very longingly at my husband and his camera. Definition of puppy dog eyes.

I don’t do fiber arts, but I’m periodically obsessed with tatting designs 😊 and it would be cool to be called a tatter. Instead I paint patterns inspired by tatting on glass vessels.

My two rescued Pyr girls, found together as strays and could only be adopted out as a bonded pair bc they love each other so much!

Aww this is like peak age especially for more excitable breeds! My baby is 14 almost 15 and a VERY old man who is slowing way down now. He was insane for like the first 6-7 years, but around 10 he was still agile but much more chill between short hyper bursts. He’s a lab mix big boy!
