Met this dude at a metal fest, was a bit awkward, but really chill otherwise. Although he kept saying "I must kill all the Hiss", idk what that was about
Dylan Faden from Control Resonant, wearing black jeans, black tee with white graffiti print on it, maroon red long coat and old school flight goggles. He also rocks and impeccable green mullet and a horrible mustache. He can't pose for photos so he kinda just awkwardly stands there.

The "importance of good nutrition" bit hit close to me, as several years back I just kinda "existed" through life it feels like, and that includes the kinds of art I consumed - usually whatever was kinda popular, but not "ugh, it's popular so I hate it", not to mention all the social media. (cont.)
Screenshot with an excerpt from the article in the quoted post:
"This is a choice you are making! You might be sitting around going “I’m miserable,” and you can tell yourself it’s the state of politics these days or because you’re struggling to find work, but let me tell you: it’s also because there’s no variety in your life.

If you’re stuck on your specific area of choice because you know it gives you joy, understand that you’re deadening your love for it by focusing solely on it. You need some you time — time away from the thing you’re consuming to give you joy. You need more than just your brand, so to speak.

Consume more good shit, don’t be a consumer Buying One Kind of Product."

So then I can just easily search any particular tag and see everything that I had tagged with it And so far, it's been quite fast to do so, although it did require some initial setup (like adjusting where the attachments are saved and also getting couple community plugins to handle images and stuff)
Screenshot from Obsidian "Search" tab, showing an example of searching of all files tagged with "Audio".Screenshot of installed community plugins in Obsidian:
Image Toolkit - enables inspecting and manipulating images.
Paste image rename - renames images on pasting them into the file, for better organization.
Tag Wrangler - extra tag control for renaming tags across all vault.
Vault Full Statistics - just extra statistics to keep track of amount and size of files.
Zoottelkeeper Plugin - tbh can be skipped, was just checking what there is that can make automatically a per-folder "index file", but didn't really have a use for it.

admittedly quite scuff, and there are probably much better solutions for that, but what ended up working for me is to have a "reference vault" in Obsidian, where I put the references I find, and write tags to each of them (it's not just art I also put things like tutorials, articles etc in there)
Screenshot of full Obsidian window for my "Reference Vault". On the left there is a list of all individual files within it, in the middle window an example of a file opened, showing the tags, the image and some text description, on the right a panel opened with all the tags in the vault for quick searching it.

Really nice very early morning Warsaw Old City photos from my morning walk
Photo of Mostowa street in Warsaw, with buildings forming a "corridor" trailing into the distance and to the right, hiding the streets end.
Warm morning sunlight is shining on the buildings on the left, on the right they are fully covered in shadow.
Further down the street, couple of cars are parked, and dim orange street lights are still lit up.Photo of a Świętojańska street in Warsaw, in the foreground buildings on the sides are almost entirely covered in shadow, between them is a gap where the street continues, until it opens up in front of the Royal Castle.
It is also mostly covered in shadow, except for the clocktower that's lit up by the warm morning sunlight.

Was trying to search for some specific game reviews/previews/interviews from around 2001, and stumbled upon this masterpiece LMAO
Scan of a "Next Gen" magazine spread, issue 84 from December 2001, with an ad for Crash Bandicoot The Wrath of Cortex. In it, character of Crash portrayed inside a hospital ward with walkers, in a patient's gown, with his entire ass out. A nurse looks over her back with a concerned/confused look towards crash, while he's walking down the corridor.
The caption on the ad reads "It's Crash's toughest adventure yet."

I was a bit hesitant with this one, I'm gonna be real, as I wasn't really a fan of neither pokemon nor digimon (just something I didn't really have that much of an exposure to as a child), but hearing it being compared to Narnia couple of times does sparks up a bit of curiosity.
Excerpt from the article, which reads:
"A lot of the fiction I grew up with as a kid — like, say, Narnia — was fuckin kickass because you’d have some real dark shit without just being Misery Porn For Adults. Like, one book I loved growing up was The Silver Chair, which is a story about how two British schoolchildren end up in another dimension and go on a quest where they’re nearly eaten by giants and almost killed half a dozen other times on their way to descend into the literal underworld to rescue an ensorcelled prince who’s been taken away by a mysterious witch who turns into a snake creature."

Finished Tactical Breach Wizards, incredible game, loved it a lot - I forgot when was the last time I had to actually get my headgears spinning this much lmao Plus the writing and characters are really fun Play it if you haven't yet!
Screenshot of a dialogue scene from the game.
There are 3 characters sitting at a table with a map and a model train on it, making plans.
From left to right - character in a pink hoodie with the hood up, and a ribcage print on the chest, and bones print on the arms.
Character in a noir-ish private investigator coat, witch hat, with a cat.
Old white haired man in tactical magician robe.
Context of the dialogue is that the group will need to wait for some time to proceed with their plan.
The dialogue reads:
Old man: "I've got a good audiobook on the role of Mulassan anti-tank monks in World War 4 if you wanna borrow."
Witch with the hat: "Is it about their human stories and cultural context, or more-"
Old man: "It's entirely about the craft dynamics of armour penetration."
Witch with the hat: "I'll just stare at a train station, thanks."

100 UI bullets would indeed be very funny (I assume for something like an LMG?) A unique display for it also could be kinda neat, like have couple of rows, or (with a ton of extra effort, but also, arguably, would look hella cool) have some sort of representation of how bullets are stacked in a mag.

I use an "absolute cinnamon", for no other reason than I needed some image to put as padding to test some features for textures/icons, and I had it lying around on the drive

Couple funny moments: Max shoots in the air when aiming near a chest high wall, since he pulls the gun close to not clip with it; and I think my steam deck got tired during this cutscene and forgor to load the level in. Also had a bug where Max would a-pose when in cover, but don't have a SS of that

Bringing this back due to a bit funny new RPS interview with one of the designers on FO3 (who then also went on to work on all subsequent Bethesda RPGs) www.rockpapershotgun.com/meet-the-man...
Screenshot excerpt from Rock Paper Shotgun article, which reads:
"...Yet you almost never hear Deus Ex, or immersive sims in general, mentioned in connection with the ongoing Fallout series. I believe Pagliarulo identified why back in 2010. “If I say the games are the soul of Looking Glass... well, it’s also the soul of early Bethesda games. They’re very immersive first-person things. The Terminator: Future Shock, The Elder Scrolls: Arena or Daggerfall. So when most people look at Fallout 3, they look at the legacy of this studio and don't look beyond it… and if they did, they'd find a lot of Deus Ex in Fallout 3.”

Okay, shit, that's kinda scammy lol - they have AI disclosure mentioning genAI vocals for the music in the demo store page, but not on the main page (so I completely missed it). Screw that! (also dev replied to one of the reviews, using the "we are a small team!" excuse, breh)
Screenshot from Driving Rogue Demo Steam store page, text reads:
"AI Generated Content Disclosure
The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

This game’s soundtrack features some voice lines generated with AI assistance."Screenshot from part of the Driving Rogue dev reply to a review left to the demo, reading:
"Music sounds good because tracks are man-made, and they are sung by human (The melodies) before using AI to make a specific accent or voice, because we lack singers and we are a small team! So yeah, it's only vocals!"

Yeah, 100% One clunky, but a quick workaround nonetheless, is to have a "default" version of the specific material instance, and just copy groups of properties. Better than clicking "revert" a 100 times at least.

On your profile, if you click on 3 dots, it should show you "Go live" button If you don't see them, it could be adblocker messing with it. If so, go to Profile page, disable adblock, refresh, a popup about new feature will happen and it will appear in the list, you can enable adblock back after that

Tides of Tomorrow In a most blunt way - basically "if a telltale game had async multiplayer", more specific - choices of players before you shape your play, and in turn, your play shapes the experience to the people who come after you. Liked it a lot, curious how it will work out in the full game.

Rusty Road Racing They have a bunch of undisclosed genAI bullshit in there (fun fact - nothing you can do about it), and this one feels like a genuine asset flip. It's Time to Meet God Gonna be honest, not quite sure what I played there, but I liked it (even if I couldn't handle it for long). A roguelike FPS, but I don't think just putting a label like that gives it justice. Being able to flip through different visual presentations is a neat feature.

Undead Tread "Vehicular FPS", as in - drive in first person only, and your guns only shoot forward. Incredibly jank, big "asset flip" vibes, but also kinda endearing in a way. Looking through dev's stuff, seems like first steam release, done solo, and just a dude trying to "break in" into gamedev.

Zortch 2 Genuinely a treasure, no idea how I didn't stumble upon the first game before, incredibly fun FPS. If making comparisons, what was in the demo felt like an unholy concoction of OG Half-Life and Serious Sam, in the best possible way. Now I *really* need to play the first one.

Crisol: Theater of Idols FPS Survival horror, *very* reminiscent of RE7/8 in gameplay (backtracking with key items, pursuer-type enemy, slow and methodical combat), really liked the idea of your blood also being your ammunition for resource management, as well as the art of it in general.
