Mysugar building designed by Otto Königsberger (1950s photo). Königsberger was a German architect who was forced to leave his country after Hitler's rise. A chance introduction to Sir Mirza Ismail by his uncle, physicist Max Born, led him to India and to Bangalore in 1939.

A South Indian myth on the origins of the Malabar Pied Hornbill. A cowherd denied water to a sacred cow, committing a grave sin. As punishment, Vishnu transformed him into a hornbill with a unique bill, doomed to drink only by looking skyward during rain.
