As the recent 15-min @nytimes.com excuse session w @markjacob.bsky.social showed, dominant American media outlets platform republicans saying & doing horrendous things that those outlets (including @nytimes.com) refuse to call out, all the while bemoaning that democrats are mean and/or incompetent.

Yes. I have often wondered if the reason that judges are not jailing administration actors who blatantly & repeatedly violate court orders is that the judges are afraid and/or threatened.

It's money & power. With Medicare for all, drug & insurance companies and other for-profit entities would lose $$. And employers would lose power in keeping workers beholden for insurance. Our dependency reaps profits & power for them--which is why they pay off politicians to keep it that way.
