Common Dolphins fishing hard off Berry Head last weekend. Sea was quite choppy at times but this had no effect on dolphin activity, in fact they could be seen "surfing" down the face of some waves.

1/2 This was my planned day so far: Take daughter to work (as normal); Go Powderham and sit on the river bank for 2 hours to hopefully see Little Stint and much loveliness. Return home and leisurely walk to St James Park for the game. City score 3 before half-time. I win the 50/50 draw.

A pleasant walk around Otter Estuary NR earlier. Highlight was prolonged views of a Cetti’s Warbler not behaving in the skulky, find-me-if-you-can way they normally do. Shame the Jack Snipe was a Common Snipe (when it showed properly) but worth it to see @leonwr.bsky.social hurtling along the path 😂
