The Stonewall Inn released a response to the National Parks Service removing the word transgender from the park outside of the Inn. A great reminder that we have to look after each other

The Stonewall Inn and The Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative are outraged and appalled by the recent removal of the word 'transgender' from the Stonewall National Monument page on the National Park Service website. This blatant act of erasure not only distorts the truth of our history, but it also dishonors the immense contributions of transgender individuals - especially transgender women of color - who were at the forefront of the Stonewall Riots and the broader fight for LGBTQ+ rights.

I’d love to see! Being able to actually hold my OCs was my inspiration for getting into this hobby to begin with. Styx was a character who came into existence around the same time I discovered BJDs and fell in love with the concept. It felt only fitting to bring him to life, albeit a decade+ later.

Of course! This is my lovely boy Styx. He’s a shell of an OC I made way back in early high school. Someday I’ll give him his gages, tattoos, and tail (and pants that fit better). I’d also like to redo his wig with nylon fibers. But despite all the work he still needs I love him to pieces! 💕

Okok so I really recommend this Terviiix flat iron for anyone who works with nylon hair. It has a range of 120-450°F making it pretty useful for straightening doll hair that isn’t heat rated (like hair from hobby stores or on AG/OG dolls). It’s on Amazon for like $20 #bjd #bjdwigs #bjdwigmaking

The resin is quite opaque, so it requires a lot more dye to get a rich color. That’s probably why people claim it doesn’t handle dye well. Any resin would behave poorly if the dye ratio gets too high. What dye do you use? I use monocure but I’m always on the lookout for better options.

I haven’t tested the scratch resistance or sanding yet, but I’ll have an update on that soon! As for the dye, I had heard that Resione doesn’t typically take dye well. It is already a little finicky to print so I assumed that would be true.
