I don't deny the (on-going) El Niño (ENSO) will add up thousands of deaths through multiple pathways.
But is it really needed to publish a report, NOT peer-reviewed, using methods that are not standard?
If numbers turn out to not be 450,000, it does more harm than good to climate communication.
