It was especially insightful to hear from Dame Nicole Jacobs, Domestic Abuse Commissioner for England and Wales. In her keynote, Dame Nicole reflected on the progress made by the domestic abuse and violence against women and girls sector, while recognising the work still to be done.

In 2023, our report 'Underexamined and Underreported' found that woman who had experienced intimate partner violence were 3x more likely to have attemped suicide within the previous year. It's good to see increasing recognition of these links from the police. www.theguardian.com/society/2025...
