Way before we got Magic Pot and Tinkle, us Gujaratis had Gijubhai Badheka and his delightful stories. Some original, some adapted from wider folk tales, most featuring a comic song that kids would remember well into adulthood. Fun Fact: This particular series was illustrated by Abid Surti himself!

Mahi Aggarwal's review of Gujarati Pulp Fiction on Goodreads. "The inclusion of illustrations and old-school cover art adds so much nostalgic charm. It’s like holding a piece of hidden literary history in your hands. Whether you’re a fan of horror, fantasy, crime, or just something completely different, this anthology is a rare gem. Loud, proud, and pulpy to the core" Gujarati Pulp Fiction book coverVishwambhari S Parmar with a flower in her hair
