#PostProcess #reveal Gratitude to @rjrock.bsky.social for the challenge! Edits in LR mobile app. #Photography #ECK #classicmono Black and white highlighted hidden elements. A tighter crop to bring attention to the hiking trail and highlights popping through the cracks in the clouds.

Black and white photograph of a moody mountain landscape. Dark, heavy storm clouds fill the upper two-thirds of the sky, with brighter breaks of light behind them. Jagged rocky peaks rise from a bank of low fog at left of center, and a steep, scree-covered slope on the right carries a thin, winding trail with tiny hikers on it.

#BlueSkyMonday #Abstractia #Eyes #digitalart #photography #art First photo is original iPhone photo. Second and third images are digitally manipulated pieces using Brain Fever and Snapseed mobile apps. 🚫 A.I. Digital alerations of oringinal photos often passes the time on long flights.

Close-up of several diagonal neon tubes glowing bright cyan against deep, saturated blue metal panels. The reflective surfaces catch hazy, cloud-like reflections, and small bolts and seams are visible along the angled panels.

Abstract digital artwork in saturated cobalt blue: glossy, liquid-like swirls and concentric eye-shaped loops ripple outward from a small kaleidoscopic flower near the lower left. Thin white and cyan highlights trace the curves, and glitchy, fragmented patches break up the flowing forms, with darker navy shadows at the edges.

Digital artwork in vivid electric blue: two large, realistic blue eyes with black pupils stare out from the center of concentric, fragmented rings, each ringed with glowing white arcs. Branching white lightning bolts crackle across the whole image, and a bright lens flare glows in the lower right.

#ColorADay #BWFri #classicmono #dogs #blackandwhiteohotography #photography Best dog ever! Sweet,kind, gentle boy. He’s coming up on 14 years … we’re cherishing all the moments.

Black-and-white close-up of an older black Labrador lying with its chin resting on a brick paver patio. Gray whiskers frame its muzzle, and its soft, tired eyes gaze up toward the camera. A second dark dog lies blurred in the background.

A person seen from behind, silhouetted in dark clothing, stands on a gray sandy beach facing the ocean. Footprints trail behind them across the sand, and a backpack rests on a rock in the foreground. Waves wash around a large, dark boulder just ahead, with more rocks rising from the choppy water beyond. The scene is cool-toned and moody under a pale, overcast sky.

A dark alpine valley at twilight. A band of deep orange light glows along the horizon between mountain ridges, with a dark cloud layer above. On the right, a wooded hillside holds a village in silhouette, its church steeple and clock tower rising above warmly lit windows and street lamps.

#BirdOfTheDay #pairs #birds #birdphotography #nature A bit of whimsy with an accidental capture as the second dove ‘photo bombed’ the shot.

Two mourning doves silhouetted against a bright blue sky, perched and flying among sparse, wispy tree branches. One dove sits calmly on a branch while the other flies in from below with wings fully spread.

#Bloomscrolling #roses #flowers #garden #photography #ECK The ‘Strike It Rich’ blooms now more mature show their dynamic range of colors. They bring the colors of a southwest sunset into one bloom. Have a beautiful Friday everyone.

Close-up of a fully bloomed peach-and-pink rose with dozens of ruffled petals shading from golden-yellow at the center to coral pink at the edges, set against a blurred paved patio background.

Overhead close-up of a golden-orange rose in full bloom, its swirling petals blushed with pink toward the tips, photographed against a softly blurred stone and greenery backdrop.

#BlueSkyMonday #Abstractia #Geometric The first image in blue is a digitally manipulated [AI free] photo. It is derived from a cropping of the original. The original art piece is shown here also. Details in Alt text. below. I’ve passed the piece often and enjoy it very much. A fantastic artist.

Abstract digital artwork of overlapping spiral and crescent shapes in deep cobalt blue, teal, and slate gray, all winding toward a glowing point at the center. The surfaces look like brushed metal and stone, and a bright lens flare with a thin horizontal streak of light sits at the left.

Urban Geometry
I use the language of form to distill complex ideas into direct visual representations, abstract and synthetic yet familiar, leaving room for others to bring their own ideas and experience into the work. In a world of digital everything, I want my work to be analogue and to say "made by hand" -refined but not rarified.

A framed geometric wall sculpture in a black shadow-box frame, mounted on a textured beige wall. The piece is built from angular wooden shapes (triangles, trapezoids, and quadrilaterals) stained in saturated colors: red, coral, orange, yellow, forest and lime green, cobalt and navy blue, teal, and purple. The pieces sit at slightly different depths, giving the surface a layered, faceted look, and the wood grain shows through the stain. Two thin blue diagonal strips cut across the composition, one running from the upper left toward the right edge and another sweeping from the left side down to the bottom center.

#BlueSkyLightShow #Golden #scape #nature #poetry #ECK The cactus in the desert stands Like time’s inviolate sentinel, Watching the sun-washed waste of sands Lest they their ancient secrets tell. And the lost lore of mournful lands It knows alone and guards too well. -Harriet Monroe

A tall saguaro cactus fills the right half of the frame, dark olive-brown against a warm golden sky, its vertical ribs and fine spines faintly visible along the edge. Soft clouds with bright yellow edges drift on the left. Bare desert shrubs sit at the bottom left, and dark leafy branches peek in on the right.

#ColorADay #YellowThu #Moon #desertsouthwest #ECK A desert southwest moonrise through the brush and branches.

A bright golden yellow moon glows behind a dense tangle of dark, silhouetted tree branches, its diffuse light illuminating the fine twigs and small leaves. The lower right shows the shadowed silhouette of a saguaro cactus arm. The surrounding sky is otherwise black, with the moonlight creating a soft, feathered orange-white glow through the branches.

#RedWed #ColorADay #ECK #Bloomscrolling #roses #flowers ☕️ Now realizing that it is in fact Wednesday! Originally posted a few months ago, prior to using hashtags properly. Stunning, velvety roses from this rose bush. “Against The Wall”

A single deep-red rose in full bloom, photographed close-up against a rough, light gray stucco wall. The layered petals spiral tightly toward the center and curl outward at the edges, catching soft light that highlights their velvety texture. Below the bloom, a thorny stem leads to several dark green, serrated leaves with visible veining.

#BirdOfTheDay #Silhouette #scape #sunset #nature #goldenhour #photography #art #ECK A decade old photo taken from what was then my backyard. One of those moments when I put the camera down to breathe in the moment.

A lake at sunset with a peach-and-gold sky streaked with clouds. A bird flies low over the water in silhouette, and dark reeds line the shore in the foreground. The still water mirrors the sky's colors.
