if all I do is scream and slam my anger into an instrument and crank every dial and let myself be driven by rage to leave a gash where a piece of music should be, then I'll at least have left my mark on the world

Virtual Vice @virtualvice.live · 02/04/2025

I still don't really know what my "sound" is but I think I'm realizing that when I make music I need to do less thinking about the process and mechanics and technicalities and more directly channeling my strongest emotions when I create

Thanks to everybody who showed up to my set tonight, donated to charity, and had a good time with the music 💖 I've tried some new styles I've been wanting to do for so long, I had a blast and I hope you did too!!

my keyboard lasted almost 9 years before dying last week, so I got this cool keyboard to replace it :3

A poster for "VIRTUAL VICE DRUM AND BASS DJ SET @ FURTHER CONFUSION 2025 DEAD DOG DANCE MONDAY 1/20 MARRIOTT STAGE 10PM" sits in a photo editor, unfinished, on a computer screen that is wide. Below the screen, on the desk, sits an 8bitdo retro mechanical keyboard and keypad, both styled after a Famicom, and also the poster is a work in progress so it's unfinished it's not done yet

Only a week until my BLFC performance and I've just had my absolute best night of practice yet. This thing is gonna SLAY. I'm definitely jumping in the pool after it's over

061

Virtual Vice @virtualvice.live · 09/10/2024

GODDDDD I wish I had a proper pair of monitors so I could make videos where you can actually HEAR what I'm mixing and I don't have to figure out some way to stitch master out audio to a video lined up with my button presses UGH

101

Virtual Vice @virtualvice.live · 07/10/2024

apparently by trying to get in touch with "poolside jungle vibes", I have summoned the nastiest mid fall heat wave to the bay area? sorry about that

Virtual Vice @virtualvice.live · 07/10/2024

We are now at the point where every waking moment that I'm not spending at work is spent preparing the best possible mix that I can bring to you for BLFC! (unless I'm eating) (or taking breaks) (not sleeping though)
