almost 20(!!!) years ago I used to do let's plays of SMW romhacks. I managed to get a whole 100 subscribers on youtube before I got embarrassed and nuked the account. I still wish I never deleted it! this screen has always been special for me, ever since those days.

I think second impact feels a good deal better, personally, but I know that SF3 has my least favorite hit confirms in any popular fighting game I've ever played. I do not understand how people hit confirm off of lights in 3S, hitstop is so short, normals are so fast, and the cancel windows are tiny

I've heard people suggest a "looking glass-like" tag and I think it might be a good idea. tags for subcategories of existing genres of games need to be specific and unambiguous or else you end up with gachas getting tagged "2D fighter" because they have drawings and there is fighting in them

the 2D sonic games would feel so much better if his handling while walking felt decent but it really doesn't, I don't think 2D sonic even needs to be fast all the time but controlling him from walking or from a standstill feels awful

I don't even know what books weren't ghostwritten for him but every time I've tried to read a tom clancy novel it just felt like "I moved my right hand and grabbed my gun, then I moved my left hand to pull the charging handle, then I pulled the butt of my gun into my shoulder, then I aimed my gun"

even the term "OCD" itself has lost so much meaning that I get concerned about what I look like for saying I have OCD when I literally have it. people have thought I was just a weird socially maladjusted neurotypical person co-opting the term "OCD" as a quirk instead of recognizing I just have OCD

it's weird how a lot of stuff we grow up being made to do would've been way more enjoyable if we could engage with it on our own terms! like I hated reading books for school but reading of my own volition was always so much better. I guess it's as simple as not being able to prescribe enjoyment

I recommend updating your motherboard bios if you're gonna get a 9950X3D since there were reports of unsafe voltage spikes on certain mobos when using that CPU. I think it's good practice to update the bios on AM5 socket mobos in general

I think it's not unlikely that ralsei IS trans, but if we're all in agreement that it's bad to misgender kris, then can we all agree that it's bad to misgender ralsei too? and yeah like you said, I know they're all fictional characters, but we can do better here. no disrespect to anyone involved!

considering the deltarune fandom has made it a very serious point to not misgender kris and to use they/them to refer to the character, it does feel kind of wrong to use she/her to refer to ralsei when we have not heard those pronouns used to refer to them yet.
