SKITTY 🎀 #pokemon #speedpaint I made a poll over on Youtube to help me decide which Pokemon to draw next for a speedpaint, and Skitty was the winner! You can watch the art process here: ➡️ youtu.be/hZr69jv2XJw

Forgot to post abt it, but last weekend me and my partner went to a pride parade :3c I went with my handsewn genderqueer flag and I also made a small trans flag for my partner. They also bought a genderfluid flag for themselves and this queer pride flag for me from a booth run by a drag house 💖

Now that I have Thistle I can finally start playing through Emerald and eventually get all the ribbons that can be obtained on a wurmple! Along with this im continuing double encounters in Pearl and I've started to do the masuda method in Moon

Gen 3 - Thistle the Wurmple - RNG Manipulation After 6702 random encounters and finding out that Emerald's RNG doesn't work as intended I caved and used RNG manip to catch myself this baby. The whole process took me about 2 days to get it right.

A screenshot of Pokemon Emerald that shows summary of a shiny Wurmple named Thistle. It is level 2, female, has a quirky nature and was met on route 101.

There's this pretty fundamental design principle in which putting areas of high detail into a design also requires areas of lower detail. Otherwise the eye can't discern what's important and it just ends up being a noisy overwhelming mess.

Even more criminal is that archaludon doesn't have a single plushie made yet...

Violet Koala @violetkoala.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

It's honestly criminal that lopunny plushie hasn't been in stock at my local pokemon center since I first checked in May. I need it to have a plushie representation of my first ever Champions team :(

Gen 4 - Phase 1 - Cascoon - 534 Encounters At the beginning I was hunting in Platinum, but the low encounter rate finally got to me so I switched to Pearl. Getting a shiny in 534 encounters in early gens is crazy enough, but I also managed to catch pokerus lmao

The only rules I'm setting for myself through this challenge are that these wurmples can't be genned, and that for the wurmple to be eligible it needs to be one that would evolve into dustox, as that's what the original wurmple evolved into.

Violet Koala @violetkoala.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

Back in 2019 July 22th I caught my first ever shiny in ORAS Petalburg Woods - a humble Wurmple named Squish. With HOME closing down in February next year I'm setting myself a goal to shiny hunt Wurmple in every gen, as well as getting the one I catch in gen 3 to become a ribbon master. Thread:

The fact that women love the Eiffel Tower (330 meters tall) but few are infatuated with Tokyo Tower (333 meters tall) shows that height isn't everything. Sometimes it's about weight. The Eiffel Tower weighs an impressive 7,300 tons whereas Tokyo Tower only 4000 tons. Take note.
