I’ve just spent an hour fixing some tiny-but-incredibly-irritating punctuation errors in a book that has been out for a year. Then got a message from amazon warning I had to un-capitalise the word ‘Black’ (in ref to someone’s race) or it’d be marked as an error. Couldn’t make this shit up 🙄

Same. I was a school governor for a while and to this day, state schools are required to hold daily ‘collective worship’, regardless of their religious status (or lack thereof). Lots of heads get round it by just doing general assemblies these days
