I’m going to sound like the biggest chud saying this but I feel like phrases such as “I’m not playing to cum bro” has don’t nothing but normalize backlash towards anyone who have even the slightest interest of sexual expression

I feel like when people try to engage with characters who are from genres such as like fighting games and hero shooters, I feel like they have to fundamentally approach them a little bit differently when compared to other forms of media

I came to stop taking character design discourse all that seriously — particularly when it revolves around what’s considered to be attractive or not — because most of it really does boil down to the argument of "my kink is better than your kink"

There’s something about people hating on a character primarily because they’re popular that I find way more obnoxious than people who act corny about how much they love them

Well, people seemed to *really* like this, so I went looking around for another Franco Mosca pin-up to reference, and made a companion piece featuring her sister Pola! (Fun fact: Pola was my favorite from Sardegna when that faction was first added to Azur Lane!) #AzurLane #アズールレーン

Digital illustration of Pola from the video game Azur Lane, depicted seated on a Vespa scooter and looking to the side flirtatiously. The composition was heavily inspired by a piece of 1950s pin-up art by Italian artist Franco Mosca, but with a few alterations, including a new background referencing Pola's namesake with a view of the Roman Colosseum of Pula, Croatia.
Additionally, the coat of arms of Pula has been added to the back of the Vespa, as well as a safety marking mimicking the striped decks on her rigging.

It's been a slow month for art, but I recently saw a vintage Italian pin-up from the 1950s, and wanted to re-imagine it with Zara from Azur Lane. #AzurLane #アズールレーン

Digital illustration of Zara from the video game Azur Lane, depicted seated on a Vespa scooter and holding a bouquet of roses and lavender (a subtle nod to her character quest "Storia di Rosa", as well as her sister Pola). The composition was heavily inspired by a piece of 1950s Italian pin-up art, but with a few alterations, including a new background using Zara's namesake, the waterfront of Zadar, Croatia.
Additionally, the "Vespa" logos have been replaced with Zara's name and a rectangle mimicking the striped decks on her rigging.

Bayonetta and Dante (DMC) are in this weird position where I recognize that they are objectively attractive character but I think they’re way too cool to few them as such. I don’t know if that makes sense but that’s how I feel

I think people get way too comfortable trying to find moral justification in order to throw shade at whatever or whoever they dislike because it inevitably feeds into embracing the hater mentality which is often unhealthy and counterproductive
