BEING ALONE WAS A FAIR PRICE TO PAY 😭😭😭 (so. fucking. relatable.) 💙📚

He could stare at himself in the mirror and see the man he might have become, and he knew being alone and lonely for the rest of his life was a fair price to pay if it meant being able to embrace who he
was.

CR: Shades of Lust by EM Lindsey 🌈💜 Narrated by Kirt Graves 🎧📚💙 from the blurb, I thought this was going to be like a dark paranormal romance. but it’s contemporary! it *does* have a theme of the 7 Deadly Sins/Dante’s Inferno. 2 disabled mmcs, late 30s/early 40s. loving it so far 🥳🥰 #mmromance

books are both by Sara Raasch: The Entanglement of Rival Wizards, & The Fake Divination Offense.
the former has a purple theme, the latter an orange theme

the back of both books, each has a “made in china” sticker.
TEoRW quote: “Will they conjure love, or evoke chaos? Two rival wizards are about to find out.”
TFFO quote: “Gods. Demons. Just roll with it.”

fancy edges of the books with a purple theme and a red theme

most of my impressionable movie watching was done when I was a kid. my dad got me into musicals, and we watched a bunch of them together 🥰 (obviously the last two are a wild departure from that bc I found them in my teens/20s) Cruel Intentions has not aged well, but the soundtrack is still great.

my 9 movies that shaped me: Bambi, Singin’ in the Rain, The Lion King, Hello Dolly, How to Train Your Dragon, Once, Homeward Bound, Cruel Intentions, Pride & Prejudice.

this might be a niche nerdfighter thing, but, in my head, I kept swapping Lili Reinhart for Ashley Clements & Tom Bateman for Daniel Vincent Gordh. the LBD format would have been very fun for a TLH-inspired mini-series.

Ashley Clements as Lizzie & Daniel Vincent Gordh as Darcy in The Lizzie Bennet Diaries

Lili Reinhart as Olive Smith in The Love Hypothesis movie.

Tom Bateman as Dr. Adam Carlsen in The Love Hypothesis movie.

Smokey lifted a hand and pressed it to the wall, just above Eliah's shoulder.
He leaned in, the breath between them almost physical, and the need to take Eliah in his arms almost overpowered him. "I thought you were Jewish."
